This is a drop in grade now which looks as if it should suit and mixing that with the extra fitness now coming in 2nd up, STORM THE RAMPARTS gets a few things in his favour here and should be the one to beat.

BLUE VEIN has been well supported and was solid enough last start to suggest that a repeat performance would place him well in a race like this. Respect the chances of VETWELVE and SUNSHINE LAW out of their last starts but feel BLUE VEIN looks the one to beat but is a bit short to appeal as a bet.

A few of the runners contesting this race today get down slightly in grade which is going to help their chances, in particular HEAVEN BOUND & IT’S A WONDER who have both won 1st up and their recent form has been strong enough to suggest that a slight drop in grade should suit. Gave the slight edge to HEAVEN BOUND who maps to take up the lead and there doesn’t appeal to be too much other early speed in the race, so expect that will give him a solid chance to control the tempo of this race but he does face stiff competition in solid competitors. So staying out of what looks a very open race.

BARTOLF is your current race fave after a solid last start win, potentially there is a risk that he could end up in an awkward position in the run which feels the risk. If he can hold recent form he should be fighting this out.
