BACK: 1. Need Some Luck (WIN) for 4 units (Rated at $2.40)
Like the set up for NEED SOME LUCK in this race here today. Thought he was very solid 1st up when running into 2nd on a track that didn’t really suit. He can be an improver 2nd up with the extra fitness and in 2 previous 2nd up runs hasn’t missed the Top 2 (2:1-1-0). Drawn well and is fitter here today, looks his ideal set up.

LAY: 11. Wembanyama (WIN) for 1 unit (Rated at $6.00)
A raft of scratchings in the race probably help the chances of WEMBANYAMA, but I am still keen to play around him in this race. WEMBANYAMA looks a type who needs a lot of room in his runs to be able to wind up when finishing the race off. The concern was that he may be stuck inside runners from the inside barrier and potentially wont appreciate a small amount of space. The field size is now reduced, so its a smaller lay but still think there is a chance he is stuck on the rail at some stage and expecting he can improve from this run from here.

ROSEHILL PREVIEW AND TIPS | EXPERT TIPS | WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 2ND 2024
RAIL: +7m Entire TRACK: Soft 5
Looking to favour runners up on speed here with the rail pushed out and drying conditions expected. Inside lanes may potentially be inferior so looking for runners to come away from the rail in the straight.
5. Monte Veebee
1. California Bay
7. The Three Hundred
2. Espinho
Betting Strategy
BACK: 5. Monte Veebee (WIN) for 1 unit (Rated at $5.00)
MONTE VEEBEE looks as if he comes into this race representing some good value and worth a small play. He gets the right race map for today and is expected to be prominent in the run. His last start he was only 3L away from the winners in a Group level race so does look well suited back in grade here today as well.
9. Pantoja
1. Celestial Bling
6. Eton
10. The Act
Betting Strategy
Low confidence betting race given how open this one does appear. Can make good cases for some but they have tricky race maps. So have settled on resuming Victorian PANTOJA, his trial form has been solid and he maps to get the right run. Still not super keen to be diving in to bet but he is the on top pick.
5. Fun Sunday
4. Newfoundland
1. King Of Clubs
2. Rattle And Hum
Betting Strategy
Tough staying race. FUN SUNDAY had won 2 in a row recently before taking on a stronger level race last start. He will find this easier, but at this trip others have a strong case also and the speed of the race looks the key. Mot keen to bet so staying out.
2. Captain Maverick
8. Misterkipchoge
10. Cristal Clear
7. Seafall
Betting Strategy
Another race I am keen to lean away from having a bet into. CAPTAIN MAVERICK & MISTERKIPCHOGE look your 2 stand out runners. Had a slight leaning to CAPTAIN MAVERICK who maps to get the better run in my opinion, but a race like this I am happy to leave alone at this stage.

7. Extremely Hardys
4. Pippie Beach
9. Waterville
Betting Strategy
BACK: 10. Mergeila (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.20)
A key scratching opens this race right up for MERGEILA here now. Won well as a short price favourite last start and previous to that run, made her debut in a Group level race running into the placings. She looks to have good upside going forwards based on those 2 runs so far in her career and well suited at BM72 level here today.

Construction began in 1883 and was completed in 1885, with a private railway line which connects the racecourse to the main line officially opening three years later.
