GOOD KARMA looks to get all the favours here today from a speed map perspective. He will race on speed in a race that lacks much other speed around him so expect he could get a soft run. SASKATOON BERRY has had many chances to break her maiden, but her recent form is as good and she may surprise. MOONLIGHT DIVA makes her debut and she wouldn’t surprise, drawn well and can figure.

BACK: 1. Tartaglia (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $2.50)

TARTAGLIA makes his debut for a new stable and is right down in grade for this now compared to the races he was competing in over in Victoria prior to a spell. He rates very highly in this field and will have to carry a big weight for that, but over the 1010m he should be able to handle it.

Betting Strategy

SATONO INVADER makes her debut here and for the trials appears to have great upside going forwards, she draws a good barrier and has had strong early market support. KEIKO SAY showed improvement in his last start and may find this an easier race than last time. SECRET ROSE attempted to rise in trip last start, but may be better suited back down to the 1200m today. HARD KNOCK LIFE can race on speed and figure in a small field.

Betting Strategy

OAKFIELD PLUTO rated well when winning on debut, he came out and ran into 2nd last start but perhaps didn’t appreciate the heavy track so may be better suited on better ground today. RISK FOR REWARD maps for a good on speed run in what will be a hot run race, the inside barrier is his advantage. CASH AND CARDS has been around the mark of late in similar races to this, he could go close again. IMPRESSIONISM drops in grade for this and maps to be prominent.

Betting Strategy

VENOM WOLF has had strong early market support and looks close to a win having run into the placings in 2 of his last 3 runs. FULL REGALIA managed a win last time out when making his own luck out in front, capable of a repeat performance with a similar race map. DUPONT can race on speed and be prominent, he should find this a slightly easier race than last start. TRUE FAIRY is in super form in her last 3 starts, but can get back in the run so needs an even track.

BACK: 6. Monte Maximus (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $2.50)

MONTE MAXIMUS has been in super form in his last few starts winning 2 of his last 3 starts. He is coming into this race fresh now and with the inside barrier, he should get a soft run at them. Going as good as ever and looks well suited in this benchmark level race.

QUEEN OF A HAND resumes today, she was well suited in this level last prep and gets ideal conditions today. She can feature in this fresh. MAWSONS EXPEDITION was a good winner 2 starts back but didnt come on last start, perhaps had excuses to forgive and expecting he could bounce back. Similar is BEEBEE who won 2 back but failed last start, this is an easier race to be dropping back too. MISS INDI has had a freshen up since her last start where she finished midfield, her form previous to that is good enough to win a race of this level
