While he has mixed form of late, he has had a freshen up which included an impressive trial and comes to an easier race here where he rates highly. He may need some luck from a wide position, but feel his class should shine though and he is the one to clearly beat.

Tricky betting race kicking off the meeting no favoured runner THE BIG BLUE has been scratched. Expecting to see improvement from PIRRIP after his debut performance, can’t afford to get too far back in the run though at this track. POIEMA looks close to a win off the back of 4 placings in a row this prep and STEEL RAIN is having a strong prep as well and looks the runner with the ideal race map. WALK LIKE A MAN next who also looks likely to race prominently

Had this race a bit more open than where the market currently sits with short price favourite CAESAR. He has looked ready for a big run on debut but at below even money I am not keen to bet at the price. Would advise CALIFORNIA COMMAND as a better value play in the race but preferring a no bet race.

The market has zeroed in on 2 runners in STEP QUICK & DORALEE who se up as the race favourites after some good recent form line races. Of the 2 I would lean the way of STEP QUICK given he appears likely to get the better run with les work to do, but not a lot between the pair. ALL SAINTS will likely have improvement after his resuming run recently and EXOTIQUE needs to find improvement but gets a chance with a handy race map.

He has performed strongly at trials and looks ready for the races, but not keen to be diving in at the shorts this time of year. MISS JUDAS is the runner with race experience I give the best chance too, her experience is hey key and next in come PROFILE & WHO I THINK I AM both making their debuts as well.

TESSY TEE is the runner to beat in this race, she drops slightly down in grade after 2 solid performances in her last pair of runs. She gets the right race map and it does look her race to loose but offers no value in the market for this time of year. Perhaps a late bet with a slight drift in price will be the ideal move.

EFHARISTO was a strong winner last time out at Hawkesbury and looks to step up in level now. She cant afford to get too far back in the run from that inside barrier but looks progressive enough to win. DIVINE VICKY is dropping in grade, her best is good enough but she will need to be prominent from the inside as she can afford to get stuck on the rails. ETUDE is better suited rising slightly in trip today up to the 1100m while PARTY DOLL should also be better suited at the 1100m expected she gets the right race map and wouldn’t surprise at odds.
