LAY: 1. Viaconi (WIN) for 2 units
Happy to be against VIACONI and have a suggested lay bet on for the win. This gelding last start was at Port Macquarie over the 1106m on the 24th January. At Port Macquarie it has lead throughout and I thought it had every opportunity to break through here before getting run down in the straight by FORMAL. Today at Kembla it goes up to provincial maiden which looks much tougher with the fresh horses trialing super well into this event and happy to be against VIACONI here.

BACK: 3. Gangsta Granny (WIN) for 3 units
Happy to have a suggested play on GANGSTA GRANNY in this BM64 event. This filly is returning from a 21 week spell from the Hawkes yard with two lead in trials into this first up assignment. Both trials looks like the filly has come back in better order then it’s first preparation. This race looks a perfect race for its first up over 1200m and if it shows the class I think it has, it looks too good for this horses.

BACK: 8. The New Sinatra (WIN) for 2 units
Happy to have a suggested play on THE NEW SINATRA from the O’Shea & Charlton yard. This gelding is returning from a 25 week spell with two lead in trials to this first up assignment. The two trials were above par for a Provincial BM64 race and shown great improvement in the 2nd trial from the first one in my opinion. Today at Kembla it looks to map perfectly behind the main speed and hopefully can round them up late in the piece.

Track Profile
Kembla Grange Racecourse features a track circumference of 2200m with a home straight of 420m. Notably, it includes a long chute accommodating starts from distances between 1200m and 1800m, with the 1000m start positioned at the junction of the chute and the main track. This layout provides horses ample space to establish their position before the final bend leading to the home straight.
History
Racing at Kembla Grange began in the late 19th century, with the establishment of the track in 1885. The racecourse gained significant attention when it introduced night racing in 2005, making it one of the premier venues for evening races in New South Wales. Betting activity on these night races has surged, supported by comprehensive coverage and tips from Betfair’s expert team.
In addition, Kembla Grange is recognized for its extensive training facilities, home to over 100 licensed trainers and more than 800 horses. Following significant investment in 2013, the racecourse expanded its on-course stables, enhancing its reputation as a top training destination after the downsizing of other regional facilities.
