The rail remains in the True position here for todays meeting which will make it 3 meetings in a row with this position. The conditions are expected to be quite similar to the previous 2 meetings here as well, where majority of winners came from a position in run close to the lead. Expected runners who can settle in the first 4 in run have a slight advantage and perhaps runners will come wide in the straight given potential wear on the inside lanes.

CASCADE MOUNTAIN will drop in grade for this today and has been competitive in his last few starts when up in class. Suited back down now and he gets a positive race map. GOLDEN PASSPORT hasn’t been anywhere near his best this prep, but rising in trip could help bring him on. WOLF CLUB in undefeated at this track (2:2-0-0) so could be suited back here. BEST OF MAHER is another runner out of form but could come on rising in trip.

With the apprentice claim as well he is in well at the weights and could prove hard to catch.

EAGLETURN & MR BAZZA are both on debut and have looked handy at the trials, the exposed form in the race doesn’t inspire much so they wouldn’t surprise here. GREAT IDEA next who rates well, but may need luck from the wide barrier.

REBEL RHAPSODY is the current race favourite, he resumes here today and had form last prep that rates well enough to win a race like this. TAMBELOA was handy in his debut at Newcastle and any improvement off that will put him in well here. ENCHANTED WORLD looks next best at odds, he has mixed his form but his best could go close.

RAJNISH was a winner over this track and trip last time out and meets a similar level of race, he gets race map favours so is every chance to win again. DANZA IN THE DARK showed improvement last start out when rising in trip, he had to work from a wide position last start and maps much better today. MACLEAY comes out of the same form race as RAJNISH and if they go quick enough out in front, it could set him up to run over the top. REBEL’S EDGE comes out of a differing form reference which looks handy, but he may have to do some extra work from the wide barrier.

DEEBO appears to get an ideal set up here fresh. This is a track he has had good success at and he has previously performed well 1st up, looks well suited at this level. SHAQUILA needs to improve off last start but looks to get a suitable race map. SAINTLY SANDS resumes today, she has previously gone back in runs and run on, expect that from the wide barrier she gets back and will be hitting the line strongly. PEE DEE looks to get run of the race from a prominent race map, if the track is favouring on speed types he may be in the best position.
