PARISSIDENT is a long time maiden runner having had 20 starts, but giving her a great chance in this, she maps to be in a strong position in run and race experience is likely her advantage. GREAT COSMIC is here on debut and looks a strong hope after some good lead up trials. SILENT SERENADE another debutant who looks to have good upside and BILLABONG ALVIN resuming here for its 2nd prep, draws well and could have improvement since that 1 career run in October.

Betting Strategy

Looks a very competitive betting race, SETHNIQUE resumes for a new stable having contested in stronger races last time in work. Likely races positively in the run. WANAVAN has been around the mark in similar races to this of late, up to t1200m may help with the right run. YANABAH has strung together 4 2nds in a row and looks close to a win. DARTBROOK also in handy form of late and on his home track, back to the 1200m trip looks suitable.

BRUTAL ELEGANCE resumes for a 2nd prep after she has been seen at the races only once back in March. She has recently trialed well including at this track, expecting a positive run. KICKOFF gets to a good position of fitness now 3rd up this prep, the wide barrier isnt ideal but he has speed to cross. OAKFIELD VIRGINIA makes her debut and looks a capable type while WOTTON PLEASE looks likely to improve on a dryer track here today.

Betting Strategy

BELLINI SPRITZ comes up favourite in this race after a string of strong performances, she is first time up to this trip and drawn wide so may need a touch of luck, but with a clean run should be in a strong position. STROM PARK drops in grade and maps to be in a strong position from an inside barrier, looks a key danger. BONFIDELITY drops in grade and can improve at a much easier level. FANTASTIC BEAST wouldn’t surprise at odds here on his home track.

Betting Strategy

DASH BY showed good improvement last start when running into the placings in a similar race to this. Any improvement from that performance he should be around the mark. GHAZNAVI was a winner 2 starts back and then contested a similar race to this, look for him to bounce back to form after flattening out last time. PAPPIANA has a good record at this track and well suited in conditions. POINT OUT hasn’t found much form of late but looks likely to be suited dropping in grade for this today.

BACK: 4. Release Point (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $2.50)

Release point was solid when resuming and running into 2nd at Scone. Up in trip here today will suit him 2nd up after he hit the line strongly last start. Gets every chance with this set up today.

BACK: 6. Occult (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $2.70)

OCCULT was impressive last start when breaking through for a maiden win at this track. Needs to take the step up now, but he has had a freshen up since that win, and gets some race map favours here today so expect he will race in a prominent position and could take catching.

SPIRIT OF PLUTO looks a good chance at value in a competitive race. He resumes here today after a successful last prep where he found a couple of wins. Ideal race map and should be in the thick of it over this sprint trip. CUMNOCK drops in grade which suits and back to the 1000m trip also ideal given he has performed well over this trip previously. IT STAYS IN VEGAS has been consistent and broke through for a well deserved win last start, another runner suited to the 1000m and should race in a prominent position. LA PELAGO resumes and did show some good speed in a recent trial.
