SPEED MAP
Average tempo expected here. Raf Attack should lead.
Ganbare, Glad You Think So, Port Lockroy & Kintyre can all settle handy.
Medatsu, Cap Ferrat, Tom Kitten & Ravello back of midfield.
Long Genes, Tutta La Vitta & Ramble On out the back.
SPRING CHAMPION STAKES: KEY RUNNERS
1.Raf Attack – Led all the way to win the Gloaming. Trained by Gai and can do the same here.
2. Tom Kitten – Absolutely flying. Won the Up & Coming first up, and has flown home for close placings in the Dulcify and Gloaming since. Will eat up the 2000m. The inside gate and getting back on a softer tempo with Nash off suspended are the risks here.
3. Ganbare – Won the Dulcify before being caught wide no cover in the Gloaming in a forgive run only beaten 3.3L. Not out of it.
7. Ravello – Hasn’t had much luck in either the Dulcify and Gloaming, held up in the straight both times. Can surprise.
8. Cap Ferrat – Caught wide in the Dulcify then hit the line well for 3rd in the Gloaming. In the mix.
9. Long Genes – Ran some of the best late sectionals in the Gloaming. Bolter.
10. Medatsu – Ran 3rd beaten a head at Listen level in NZ. Ran +10.6 the last 600m when winning over 2000m at Kembla Grange. Will appreciate 2000m here again on a damp track. Best roughie.
12. Tutta La Vita – Fillies have won 3 of the past 12 editions of this race, and she hit the line well for 3rd in the Flight Stakes. Strong chance.
