EXPERT RACING TIPS: ROSEHILL

ROSEHILL PREVIEW AND TIPS | EXPERT TIPS | SATURDAY OCTOBER 11TH 2025

RAIL: +2m Entire TRACK: Good 4

Drying conditions are forecast, giving a slight favouring to runners who settle in the front half of the field here today given these conditions set up as the track can play up and in when dry, but it has been fairer of late this season.

1. Peninsula
13. Fan Harder
3. Adolphus
5. Poisen Point

Betting Strategy

PENINSULA has found good form this prep kicking off with 2 wins and a recent 2nd place in a handy form race, looks well placed here to continue in that form. FAN HARDER was 4th in a similar race to this last time, could take catching with a softer race map and a light weight. ADOLPHUS is another runner who looks likely to race on speed but needs luck early from the wide barrier. POISEN POINT won last start in a similar race, she draws well and gets in light at the weights again so can continue in good form.

5. Modella
4. Harry’s Bar
1. Alabama State
12. Strawberry Impact

Betting Strategy

BACK: 5. Modella (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.50)

MODELLA performed well in a group level race last time out and will be well suited here today dropping back in grade to a midway benchmark rated race. She is drawn favorably which should have her land closer in the run and if she is hitting the line as strong as she did last start she should prove hard to hold out in this level of race.

5. Unlimited
6. Vega Magnifico
8. Tastula
9. Agita

Betting Strategy

A competitive staying race here, the two runners in the market that look the key chances are UNLIMITED & VEGA MAGNIFICO who both come out of a well rated race at Caulfield last time. UNLIMITED was doing his best work late in that race and sets up well here from a low barrier, a repeat performance can have him well placed here. VEGA MAGNIFICO can race up on speed and if given the chance to control the tempo of this race he could prove tough to catch. TASTULA rises in trip to a distance he has had good success at previously, 3rd up and fitter now he looks well set up. AGITA gets in light at the weights and jumps from a good barrier, expect that she can be hitting the line strongly given the light weight she has

8. Marhoona
1. Beadman
6. Pallaton
2. Gallo Nero

Betting Strategy

MARHOONA & BEADMAN both resumed in good fashion in the Heritage Stakes but it was MARHOONA who got the best of the lot winning that race. If she can find any level of improvement from she run first up, she will again be hard to beat but BEADMAN looks the main threat if he can also be an improver as well fitter 2nd up now. PALLATON resumed recently in stronger races but didn’t find his expected level, he has been freshened since and resumes today, looks over the odds in this market given his SP profile earlier in the prep. GALLO NERO resumes, he recently put in a very strong run in a trial against some older horses, can perform well fresh

2. Farnicle
1. Estremo
5. Duke Of Arrakis
6. Ohope

Betting Strategy

FARNICLE hit the line well in The Heritage Stakes when first up. He looks well suited rising to the 1400m 2nd up here today and draws a low barrier which should give him an ideal race map. ESTREMO impressed when winning at Caulfield last start over this distance, he is in good form now and proven at this trip. DUKE OF ARRAKIS races up on speed and is well suited from an inside barrier today so expect he can race in a prominent position. OHOPE needs to take a step up in grade for this today, but drawn softy should help him see out a strong 1400m

14. Within The Law
7. Shangri La Boy
8. Champagne Hero
2. Flying Orchid

Betting Strategy

WITHIN THE LAW looks the class runner of this field dropping down in grade from group 1 level, she should be hard to beat but needs luck early from the wide barrier which is the query on the price. Stablemates SHANGRI LA BOY & CHAMPAGNE HERO look the key speed influences of the race and will be best suited in the track favours those on speed as expected. FLYING ORCHID hit the line strongly last start and looks well suited rising in trip now.

3. In Flight
6. Gangsta Granny
14. Monte Supreme
1. Infancy

Betting Strategy

IN FLIGHT finished midfield in a strong race last start, he is a month between runs and has had a good tick over trial since then, she goes well fresh so does represent good value in a field of this level. GANGSTA GRANNY has been well supported in early markets and maps again to race in a prominent position on speed which should suit. MONTE SUPREME hasn’t put a foot wrong so far this prep having won all 3 runs this prep, she maps to be back in the field and running on late so needs an even playing track to find her best. INFANCY resumes, she has a good record fresh and over this trip. If the track is playing evenly she will get her chance.

9. Elamaz
2. Lindermann
6. Attrition
1. Light Infantry Man

Betting Strategy

BACK: 9. Elamaz (WIN & PLACE) for 2 units (Rated at $5.00)

If the track is favouring on speed types, import ELAMAZ looks set to get a good run in this. He was solid 1st up when well in the market, but this race appears to set up better for him, he is fitter 2nd up now and is undefeated 2nd up through his career, he is drawn to the inside and sets up well to get a sifter run on speed vs some key rivals in this race.

BACK: 9. Elamaz (PLACE) for 2 units

12. Miss Roumbini
1. Gringotts
5. Bosustow
2. Headley Grange

Betting Strategy

BACK: 12. Miss Roumbini (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $4.00)

MISS ROUMBINI hit the line strongly last start when contesting a Group 1 at Caulfield. She has been less than a length away from the winner in both runs so far this prep and both of those were in stronger group level races. She has a good record 3rd up into preps so looks well suited but expect she will be back in the run so needs an even playing track to give her the chance to run on.

3. Roselyn’s Star
7. Polyglot
1. Amazing Eagle
2. Mogul Monarch

Betting Strategy

ROSELYN’S STAR was close to the winner when running 2nd in a very similar race to this last start, she needs everything in her favour to see out a strong 1100m but gets a favourable race map that gives her that chance. POLYGLOT has run into the placings in 3 runs so far this prep and looks close to a break through. He is best suited over the 1100m trip but may need some luck early from the wide barrier. AMAZING EAGLE has a good record so far into his short career, he can perform 1st up but looking at the gap between trials, he may have had an issue so one to watch closely. MOGUL MONARCH looks better suited dropping back to the 1100m trip and gets a favourable on speed race map with a light weight.
