CASINO BEAR is another runner who looks likely to settle close to the lead, he has to step up in grade for this but has won 2 in a row now and is in form. FIGHTING MAGNUS ran well over this trip last start, better suited on a wet track which he gets here today. SEPTIMUS is a last start winner who looks suited rising in trip now.

ALASKAN BAY looks the next best of the runners making their debut after a solid recent trial. VARAZZE the next best of the runners with race experience.

FIERCENESS will likely find this an easier level maiden then what he has contested so far into his career. He maps well towards the inside and should get a good run just off the speed. Looks well suited in a race such as this.

SMART JAZZ will drop in grade for this race today having competed up in grade in his most recent efforts. Should be suited at this level but has to overcome a sticky barrier. ARAMBYS has been around the mark in his last couple stringing together 2 placings in a row, this looks so harder than those races. TROIS maps to get run of the race up on speed which should suit. TOY STORY next is dropping in grade and is suited at this grade but another who has a wide barrier to deal with.

COOL RUPERT is on debut and his most recent rials have looked very good, expect he can put in a strong performance fresh. BRAIN WAVE resumes and has good form through last prep, but faces a sticky race map from a wide barrier. PARALIA has run into the placings in his last 2 starts and maps to be up on speed and in a handy spot and similar to WHAT A GENT who will likely race up on speed and if given a soft time out in front could prove hard to catch.

ANOTHER PEACH has won 2 of her last 4 and maps to control the tempo of the race out in front. KHANT FAIL is another runner who can settle on speed and will appreciate a wet track.

The feature race of today’s meeting over the 1600m. FORMAL DISPLAY was impressive at Eagle Farm when making his Australian debut. Feel he will likely only improve now rising up to the 1600m trip. This race doesn’t appear to have a great amount of speed which gives him the chance to push forwards and control the tempo of this race. Could prove hard to catch.

From the inside barrier, the race map sets up well for him as he likely leads and as long as the inside lanes aren’t inferior, he should be getting run of the race.
