OVERVIEW

Track: Eagle Farm | Rail: True | Track Conditions: Soft 5 | Distance: 1300m | Type: Group 1 WFA | Prizemoney: $1,000,000

SPEED MAP

The race looks to be run at an average to fast speed with Tuvalu keeping them honest in front. Cepheus and Think About It to settle in behind with Magic Time, Freedom Rally and Uncommon James. Osipenko, In Secret and Bella Nipotina to settle midfield with I Wish I Win and Espiona behind them. Note from the gate I Wish I Win could settle closer as he did last start.

KINGSFORD-SMITH CUP | FINAL FIELD

5. Antino
10. In Secret
1. I Wish I Win
12. Espiona

SUMMARY

Antino produced an impressive performance to win first up and although he is likely better placed in a handicap he looks to be in for a good preparation. In Secret is an interesting engagement first up over 1300m, perhaps she is looking for this distance now as an older mare. I Wish I Win was solid last start and although loses J Mac, Luke Nolen knows the horse well and I expect his usual consistent performance. Espiona was solid last time when had a tricky map, she is drawn better here and I expect Eagle Farm to suit her better than Doomben.
A horse that is taking up too much market percentage in my opinion is Think About It. Based on his performances so far this prep he is not going as well as he has in the past and coming in to this from a slight freshen with a couple of trials I would rather be with the race fit horses for a testing group one around Eagle Farm.
