BACK: 3. Welcome Gypsy (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $1.80)

WELCOME GYPSY has had 3 runs this prep, all up in grades that rate above this today, so expecting that coming down in level should really suit and will likely bring her on. She has a good set up having won at this track previously and she gets a good race map close to the speed while in well at the weights. This sets up well for her and gives her every chance for a break through win.

LAY: 1. Leaders Listen (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $10.00)

Taking on LEADERS LISTEN her 1st up into her prep. Through previous runs in his career, he has improved with runs under the belt so no placings 1st up suggest he has improvement to come and given the wide barrier, you would feel that he has no choice but to go back in the run and will have work to do late to get over the top.

KEMBLA GRANGE PREVIEW AND TIPS | EXPERT TIPS | THURSDAY JULY 17TH 2025

RAIL: +9m 1100m-W/Post, +6.5m Remainder TRACK: Soft 5

A track that generally plays fairly and winners can come from majority of positions in run. Not expecting a leaders bias here, but would prefer to settle no further back than midfield in run.

1. Hurry Miss
5. Aura
6. Commanding Belle
2. More Cash

Betting Strategy

HURRY MISS looks the runner to beat in this race, she was running into the placings in stronger rating maidens in through last prep, so resuming here down in grade suits, but at her price she isn’t an appealing betting play. AURA was solid when resuming and will be fitter 2nd up now, expect she could be improved. COMMANDING BELLE resumed with a 3rd at this track, she looks suited up in trip 2nd up now. MORE CASH was solid in a recent trial and maps well here.

5. Wa Wa Wa
3. Sleuth
8. Zeljko
4. Tod

Betting Strategy

BACK: 5. Wa Wa Wa (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $1.90)

WA WA WA has been a hard follow for punters so far into his career, but he has to be a big chance here now dropping down in level. The other thing he has in his favour is the race map, the race appears to not have a huge amount of early speed, which should give him a chance to find a prominent position.

8. I Am Gone
2. Melanite
5. Charka
11. Fierceness

Betting Strategy

I AM GONE makes her debut here and from what she has showed so far at the trials, she looks progressive and ready to fire 1st up. The wide barrier makes things a little awkward so happy to just watch on. MELANITE drops in grade for this today and given his race experience he could prove a main danger to the favourite. CHARKA ran into the placings when resuming, expecting she will be better suited here today on dryer ground while FIERCENESS looks to get his chance given he should land in a strong position in run early with out having to do much work.

3. Welcome Gypsy
2. Vinolass
7. Xanadu Miss
4. Oceans One

Betting Strategy

2. Denial
1. Firework
7. All Saints
5. Initiate

Betting Strategy

Don’t have a lot between the 2 favourites in this race who take up a lot of the market in DENIAL & FIREWORK. DENIAL makes his debut for a new stable, but comes in off a super trial which suggests he should be ready to go and should race on speed, looks every chance. FIREWORK resumes as well here and was solid when resuming last prep, he can go close with a good run. ALL SAINTS has a race fitness edge on rivals with 2 runs so far this prep and as does INITIATE who has placed in her last 2 starts

3. The Extreme Cat
4. Zaragoza
10. Your Not The Boss
2. Dumebi

Betting Strategy

Looks the toughest betting race of the meeting with differing form lines. THE EXTREME CAT hasn’t showed much this prep, but his best form is good enough and dropping in grade today could help him find form. ZARAGOZA has found strong form in his last few starts having not missed the top 3 in his last 4 runs, and rising to the 1200m looks ideal. Mitch Beer brings a pair of runners in YOUR NOT THE BOSS & DUMEBI who both looks to get every chance after strong last start runs.

5. Dalio
8. Grey Secret
3. Autumn Dream
1. Leaders Listen

Betting Strategy

3. Cross Tasman
1. Dimitrov
2. City Gold Banner
5. Superhero

Betting Strategy

Competitive finish to the meeting. CROSS TASMAN has been met with strong market support. He was super when breaking through for a maiden win last start and if he can build off that he should be in the finish again. DIMITROV rates well down in grade from last prep, drawn to get a good run as well. CITY GOLD BANNER should have improvement to give from his 1st up run, but will likely need some luck in run from the wide barrier. SUPERHERO likely finds this a slightly easier level than what he has contested in his last 2 runs, and easier level could improve him enough to go close.
