This looks RICH STAR’s race to loose given the set up he looks to get here. 3 runs on his home track have seen him run into the placings twice, but in this race he looks likely to put the speed into the race and lead. And given the race lacks much speed apart from himself, you can see him getting a good run at them out in front and should be hard to reel in late if given a soft time

BACK: 3. Detain (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.00)

DETAIN is another runner at this meeting who maps to race up on speed and potentially get a soft time of it out in front given there doesn’t appear to be a huge amount of pressure up on speed. She was a winner 2 starts back before stepping up in grade to run midfield, so expect she will be much better suited dropping in class for this today

Expecting a competitive maiden here to be betting into. DOINGITEASY has been well in the market in his previous 2 starts and gets a similar set up for him here today, this sets up well enough again so he should go close. GOLD PUMA has placed in 2 of her last 3 starts and comes into this race fresher now for that, back down in trip might be the query but her previous form has been solid. MISS MIDAS TOUCH resumes from a spell, she had a solid trial recently at this trip over the 1015m, that indicates she could be well set up here to produce a good run fresh. SOURCES LINK has mixed form in recent runs, but returns to his home track today, the last time he ran here he managed to finish 3rd, suited at this track but may need luck from a wide barrier.

Betting Strategy

Another maiden where there is a race favourite who gets a favourable race map and should prove hard to beat. ALL TOO FOXY sets up well here and looks likely to get a good run at them up on speed, she rises in trip to the 1400m but should manage that from the low barrier. TILLSTROM makes his debut here today but has looked impressive at the trials so expect a strong performance on debut. SONECHKA showed solid improvement last start at Lismore, she looks suited rising to the 1400m trip off the back of that last start. MISS CHAMONIX didn’t show a great deal on debut when running midfield, but suggest she didn’t handle the wet track and will be better suited in these conditions today.

Betting Strategy

Tough race to have huge confidence betting into given some of the more favoured runners like race favourite TARA KODA drawing very wide barriers and faced with tough runs. NAILS AND PRIDE looks to map best of most of these runners and is dropping down in grade from last start, sets up best for this. SIR BOO has a good record here on his home track having won 3 races here, dropping in grade for this will suit. As mentioned, TARS KODA rates well for a race of this level, but the wide barrier could make it tough. CLUBHOUSE next who may find this easier than recent runs, but drawn awkwardly could put him in a tough position

Betting Strategy

Hard to knock the recent form of JUSTICE SERVED who has won 2 in a row now and has also won twice over this same track/trip set up. He rates highly, but will have to carry a big weight due to that fact which is the small query. LIKEABEEL was a good winner at the same 2200m trip to this last time, proven at this distance so expecting a strong performance. ZAYNUDIN gets in well at the weights vs some of the more favoured runners in this race which could help him fond improvement on recent runs. OTTOMAN EMPIRE finished only 0.5L behind JUSTICE SERVED in his last start, he looks better suited from a race map perspective in this today and gets in well at the weights against the favourite.

Betting Strategy

Tough betting race to close out the program as you can make strong cases for most of these in the market. FULL REGALIA was a winner at this track 2 starts back before backing that up and running into the placings last start. He will race close to the speed and is set up well for this at the 1600m. VENOM WOLF was well supported last time out and saluted for a win, maps to get back in the field which is always the risk so he will need an even track to set up here. BIANCO NERO put in a bad one last start but her form previous to that was much stronger so expecting she could bounce back in this to better form. PIERRE CARDINNIGAN hasn’t found his best form this prep with his best finish a 5th placing, but this is a solid step back down in grade which could help him find improvement
