The rail again goes out slightly from the previous meeting here in late February and similar track conditions are forecast. Despite the rail position last time, the track played quite fairly so suggest that it may again play in a similar fashion and all runners should get their chance to run on.

XCESSIVE FORCE was a good winner on debut, before only just missing out in a stronger race at last time at Canberra. She should find this race slightly easier than her least run and gets an ideal race map here for a soft run close to the front of the field.

Tough betting maiden here, OBVIOUS ICON makes his debut here at his home track off some good trials. But I am preferring to lean with race experience and in particularly with FLYING CHEVROLET who resumes for a 2nd prep now after she strung together a set of placings. TOO DARN SASSY is drawn for an easier run here than her debut which could see her improve. SURE INTENTIONS is another who is drawn well and could come on now after improving last start as well.

BROHM LAKE lines up well in this. She is dropping down slightly in grade today but does look the runner who is going to get the race map advantages up on speed from a low barrier. EVER WAS has been tough to follow with only the 1 win, but dropping in grade slightly may help his cause. SAINT LOFT is another runner who gets a nice race map here that sets him up nicely, but will need to take a step up in level to match some of these. THE RIGHT REIN should find this a much easier race than recent assignments, but the big weight he will carry is the main query.

SHERIFF’S STAR looks to get a few favours into this run. He is coming into it in nice form having run placings in his last 2 starts and he has also drawn the inside barrier, if he can use that barrier to advantage early he can settle in a handy position. BLACK BUGATTI resumes, it would have been good to see a little more from his trials, but the form he was producing last prep would put him close in this race. AWEIGH has put 2x placings together and maps well here, wouldn’t surprise while JUST CHILL looked a little green on debut, he should take good improvement from the debut run and could come on now.

ALABAMA HUSSY resumes, she should find this an easier maiden than what she contested on debut and a recent trial at Rosehill was nice. IMA CAPRI maps as the horse that will push forwards and control the race tempo, a soft run will set him up well. SO INTRICATE & HAZEL JEAN were solid in there last start runs, but the wide barriers don’t do them a great deal of service and both may need luck for the right run.

Found this a tough betting race as you can make strong cases for most of these runners. Looking for BE QUIET to improve off her breakthrough win last time out. She has had some early market support and maps well so looks every chance if she can improve. SNEAKY CHOICE won well on debut and looks suited in this race now, but has to over come the wider barrier. ARE EE QUE is a last start winner at this track, he maps to be one of the leaders which may suit but potentially wants a wet track? IL PASSERO next, he needs to now take improvement from his last start effort but looks capable of doing so with the right run.

Feel WAL’S ANGELS looks worth a small play at the value given how this race sets up for him. Barrier 4 suits him with the early speed he can utilize and that should see him land in a handy position early in running. The soft run will help, but he is also dropping down in level after competing in a Highway last time out, so the drop in grade mixed with the right race map gives him a strong hope.
