6.6mm of rain yesterday had little impact on the course and soft ground horses played little to no part in the finishes. Once again track should race lightning quick.

Dramatic Star looked a promising stayer for the future this prep and then it all went wrong at Haydock when slipping on the bend and being pulled up. The track was awful that day and the meeting was abandoned, and had he contested the finish the price would be much shorter considering the Align The Stars form is strong.
BACK: 7. Wild Waves (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $5.00)
Wild Waves was clattered into by Dramatic Star in the Haydock incident and played no part in the finish. Before that run, he had two smart wins in the form book around this sort of trip so you know he’s guaranteed to stay and was pulling out plenty at the finish at Doncaster.

Audience won the Lockinge in stunning fashion before finding the Queen Anne quite literally an uphill struggle. Bounced back by hacking up in the Lennox by 4L with Art Power and Kinross in behind who could not get near him. Flat, dry tracks at brutal tempos are his caper and he gets the perfect setup once more.

BACK: 7. Hipop De Loire (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $6.00)
The money has arrived for Hipop De Loire who was $26 last week. He gets his good ground and Colin Keane comes over to ride in what could prove a difference of opinions with stall 2 and a lot of Ebors won on the stand’s side. The far side has been the place to be all week yet time and time again across the three days jockeys keep trying to win in the slow lane. He should be bang there in the middle of the action and look the winner at some stage.
BACK: 6. Yashin (WIN AND PLACE) for 1 unit (Rated at $9.00)
Yashin’s a quirky sort who needs plenty to go right (ironically, yet to run one good race going right handed) and has been priced accordingly.
His form on good ground at left handed tracks reads: 41141733 and that 7th was in last year’s Ebor when not a lot went according to plan. He’s chased home Kyprios twice this prep which has been enough for Queenstown to be made favourite for this, but Yashin snapping at her heels on leader-dominated tracks is four times the price so I’m keen to play.

Align The Stars was allowed to pinch the race at Goodwood and had Fairbanks as the only challenger, who had too much to do against a horse with an easy lead. It’s plausible that Align The Stars running poorly has meant the price on Fairbanks would drift, but I had him marked half the price he currently is and gets a lighter weight than most. The bigger field will surely suit.

Tropical Storm loomed up to win last time and just stopped. Might’ve been the distance but I’m trusting the low draw and drop in trip will be enough to bounce back. The form looks solid.

Won’t be any excuses for finding room this time after the multiple stinking rides that Dual Identity has received. Horse is flying and is ready to win one of these handicaps with this looking the prime pot to take home.

Have Secret just keeps finding the line nicely and puts in a great shift every run but doesn’t know how to win.Expecting a big top 4 finish once more.

Sir Busker is the class of the race and the old boy hasn’t got the legs for Group races anymore but if he’s going to bob up in a handicap it’ll be at a nice flat track like York. They’ll go hard enough and the track should be cut up enough for him to play a part.
