ARROWFIELD SPRINT | KEY RUNNERS
1. Ozzmosis – Led all the way to win the Coolmore last prep. First up reared at the start and never took part. Is favourite but hard to back off that prep. Have to take on trust based on his Coolmore win if you like him.
2. Arkansaw Kid – Ran 3rd in the Blue Diamond last year. Good 2nd first up to Estriella. In the mix.
3. Libertad – Won first 3 starts including a San Domenico then trained off. Ran a good 2nd after racing wide no cover at G3 level two starts back. Can forget went around last start when badly checked.
4. Corniche – Consistent type who has been good in both starts this prep. Can figure.
6. Schwarz – Was a good 2nd first up in the Darby Munro. Has plenty of ability.
9. Hedged – Won a good race first up at Flemington, then was keen and a solid 5th behind Estriella. Can figure here.
11. Joliestar – Thousand Guineas winner last prep. First up here and likely getting ready for Adelaide or Brisbane.
12. Learning To Fly – Close 2nd in the Light Fingers then less than 2L from them in the Surround. Has a nice profile for this.
13. Mumbai Muse – Has been trialling well this prep and last start 4th in the Inglis Sprint was an improved run. Can surprise.
SUMMARY
Libertad and Hedged profile as the two horses with fitness on their side and the ability to give this a shake at odds. Open race beyond that and wouldn’t be shocked to see anything win.
