EXPERT GREYHOUND TIPS: MANDURAH

MANDURAH EXPERT TIPS | SATURDAY JULY 13TH

Mandurah is set to host a 11 race program on Saturday night from 7:05PM local time. The meeting is headlined by “The Westcha$e” final set to be run over the 488m with the winner walking away with a cool $20,000.

Best Bets

Jaycin Campbell

BACK: 8. West On Astro (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.00)

West On Astro has been racing in great order having won two of his past three races. He was well supported off the pink rug last week and saluted with ease scoring by five lengths in a personal best 27.26. There’s no reason why he can’t do so once again with Sassy Snickers inside him set to give him a lovely cart into the race. Expect to see him lob outside her and put her away turning for home.

4. Riser
8. Go Gettem Croker
1. Our Ozzie Salute
2. Better Call

Riser makes his debut for the powerful Steve Withers kennel. He was extremely green winning a QT at Cannington and has since had 10 weeks off. Should be ready to fire here and will run home.

Go Gettem Croker showcased terrific early speed before being overhauled by La Sagrada. Will look to scoot across this field and set up a big margin.

Our Ozzie Salute trialled well in preparation for his debut where he had no luck from the squeeze. Drawn much better and will hug the rails.

1. Hectare Hunter
7. Vinales
4. Racing Barbie
5. West On Madge

Hectare Hunter has won his past two races with ease showing great strength through the line. Drawn to get another sweet run in transit with a few noted wide runners drawn outside. Deserving favourite.

Vinales hit the line strongly last week having his first attempt over the 488m at Mandurah. He matched motors with Sunset Comanche and should run home best once again.

Racing Barbie is armed with elite early speed and will make her own luck from the front.

3. Bezzecchi
1. Kuro
6. Emerald Guard
7. Miss Envy

Betting Strategy

LAY: 7. Miss Envy (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $6.00)

Miss Envy is clearly a very talented bitch and she has been good to us in the past; however, she finds a tough assignment here and is an undeserving favourite. She clocked a slick time in her heat win last week but if it wasn’t for the red seas parting ways at the perfect time, she might not have even qualified for this final. She doesn’t have the speed early to put herself in the race and her main dangers are all drawn to settle in-front of her in running.

7. Toad
3. Chef’s Kiss
4. Now See Here
8. Premium Star

Toad jumped well enough last week before being shuffled back through the field. Hit the line strongly and could be better suited out wide with some room to move.

Chef’s Kiss has great early speed and will be looking to cross West On Raiser, lead and hold on. Consistent bitch and hard to knock.

Now See Here broke his maiden two starts ago and followed that effort running third to Bezzecchi. Capable from coming off the speed and finishing on the podium.

BACK: 8. West On Astro (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.00)

1. Rippin’ Moses
5. Upper Tux
6. Beauty In Me
8. Blue Buick

Rippin’ Moses has found an extremely winnable race and has drawn the in demand red rug. Capable of winning from on or off the speed this race type of contest.

Upper Tux was strong last week scoring over this track and trip in a moderate 27.73. Will need to begin better here but can do so.

Beauty In Me has great early speed and will look to make her own luck from the front.

When you place a lay bet, you are betting on something not to happen. Let’s think about the Melbourne Cup again. Remember: there can only be one winner. But what about the others trailing behind them? If you place a lay bet in a “Win” market, you can celebrate if the runner tails off at the back of the field.

1. Window Shopper
2. All About Coal
8. Warm Regards
7. Vander Harley

Betting Strategy

BACK: 1. Window Shopper (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.00)

We were with Window Shopper last week and he was beaten convincingly by Acina Kuna without any excuses. Prior to this, he won a similar race defeating Vander Harley and All About Coal. He’s drawn box one for the first time in his career and has a noted wide runner drawn directly outside him. He doesn’t have the speed to hold out the wider brigade; however, he’s going to find a lovely spot right on their hammer. No excuses.

3. Steel Girl
5. Send It Kye
7. Sunset Viper
1. Big Brain

Steel Girl has won four of her six starts over this track and trip including a four length demolition job last week. Hard to knock.

Send It Kye has struck winning form winning back to back races over this track and trip. A vacant box outside does help.

Sunset Viper is another last start winner in this race and has an inside box vacant. One of the three chances.

6. My Anarchy Boy
8. Hinto
1. Sunset Mirage
4. Molfetta Cruise

My Anarchy Boy won this fixture last week defeating Hinto and Molfetta Cruise. They could very easily turn the tables as he gets back and requires luck in running. The Hobby pair, Sunset Mirage and Custard Monelli enter this race and will exit the inside draws. Prefer Sunset Mirage, Custard Monelli is a long time between drinks. Competitive race.

4. West On Tilly
2. Pecorino Monelli
1. Rippin’ Serena
8. Sand Cruiser

West On Tilly will appreciate dropping back in grade and distance after being convincingly beaten by Emerald Guard last week. Winner over this track and trip the start prior in 22.56.

Pecorino Monelli exits his lowest draw in quite some time which should help him overturn a recent form slump. Ticks most boxes.

Rippin’ Serena got the job done with ease on debut as a short priced favourite. Could have further upside and has to be respected.

7. West On Odie
2. Common Speed
4. Go Seek Ariana
1. Sneaky Pint

West On Odie won four starts ago over this track and trip from box seven in 27.36 defeating Kuro who is in the market for tonight’s feature. Handles wide boxes and will look to sizzle across.

Common Speed has had four runs back from a two month break and rises back to her pet track and trip. Hard to run down if she leads.

Go Seek Ariana hasn’t won in a few months but is building her fitness over this distance. Best of the rest.
