LAY: 3. Lunaire (WIN) for 1 unit

Happy to be against and lay LUNAIRE in this open country boosted maiden race. LUNAIRE’S last start was at Wellington on the 9th September over the 1100m. In this race a lot didn’t go right for LUNAIRE but I still thought it a poor showing running 3rd. Today at Tamworth is comes to much harder maiden with a few fresh ones trialing well into this event and LUNAIRE would have to improve sharply to be winning here.

BACK: 2. Vis I Do (WIN & PLACE) for 2 units @

Happy to play VIS I DO win and place in this BM58. VIS I DO’S last start was at Tamworth over the 1000m on the 27th August. VIS I DO returned off a 18 week spell into this race. On the 27th August the gelding settled near the rear of the field and in the straight worked home super well over the unsuitable distance to finish in 4th. Today at Tamworth VIS I DO goes up to the 1200m which much more suitable for this horse and if they can make ground should be flashing home late.

When you place a lay bet, you are betting on something not to happen. Let’s think about the Melbourne Cup again. Remember: there can only be one winner. But what about the others trailing behind them? If you place a lay bet in a “Win” market, you can celebrate if the runner tails off at the back of the field.
