SPEED MAP

Linebacker, Fearless and Traffic Warden will be jostling for midfield positions.
Emirate, Broadsiding, Clear Proof & Tropicus out the back.

GOLDEN ROSE | FINAL FIELD – KEY CHANCES

1. Broadsiding – Has won past 4 starts, including two G1 races over a mile. Only 3 horses have attempted this race first up, and none have won or placed. But Broadsiding is the best credentialled and the wet track suits. However he has later targets over 1600m-2000m so won’t be fully wound up here.

2. Traffic Warden – Led all the way to win the G2 VRC Sires Produce, was a close 4th in the Golden Slipper, then 2nd beaten a nose in the G1 ATC Sires Produce. Trialled very nicely ahead of the Run To The Rose which he won with impressive late sectionals. Godolphin have won this race 4 times (Bivouac, Astern, Exosphere & Epaulette). All of them ran in the Run To Rose as the leadup, with 3 of them winning. Handles the wet and looks very hard to beat.

3. Storm Boy – Magic Millions winner who has always had a big boom on him. Has raced 4 times at G1/G2 level for 1 win, two 3rds and a 4th. Was a big run in the The Run To The Rose when 3rd beaten 0.9L as was slow away and then had to work to lead. His tendency to miss the start can be costly. If he jumps with them he will certainly be the one they have to all run down.

4. Linebacker – Was impressive in first prep winning at G3 level at his second start and then 2nd at G1 level at his 3rd start. Ran the quickest last 1000m sectionals in the Run To The Rose when 4th. In the mix.

5. Anode – Ran 2nd beaten a nose in the Run To The Rose. Did run 2nd beaten a nose to Linebacker last prep. Doesn’t appear to enjoy wet tracks much. Place chance.

6. Fearless – Underrated colt who was only beaten 2L in the G1 Blue Diamond and ran 3rd in the G1 Champagne Stakes. Was beaten 3.3L first up in the Run To The Rose when had its chance. Place chance.

8. Emirate – Ran solid closing sectionals first up in the Run To The Rose. Place hope.

9. Tropicus – Ran solid closing sectionals in the Run To The Rose. Place hope.

Golden Rose Betting Tips – Expert Racing Tips & Predictions

The Golden Rose Stakes is one of the standout events on the Australian racing calendar, drawing the best three-year-olds in the country to battle it out over 1400 metres at Rosehill Gardens. If you’re looking to make the most of this exciting Group 1 race, our Golden Rose betting tips are your ultimate guide to finding value and identifying winners.

Whether you’re a seasoned punter or new to the world of horse racing, the Golden Rose offers an excellent opportunity to profit—if you’re armed with the right insights. Our expert racing analysts dig deep into form, track conditions, barrier draws, and historical data to bring you Golden Rose Stakes tips that are both reliable and profitable.

Our team consists of experienced racing professionals who live and breathe horse racing. We don’t just glance at the favourites—we study sectional times, recent trials, jockey performance, and stable tactics to uncover hidden gems and potential upsets.

When it comes to Golden Rose Stakes tips, we aim to provide:

  • Thorough analysis of every runner in the field
  • Best bets based on form, value, and conditions
  • Strategic betting advice tailored to the race

We understand that no two punters are alike. That’s why we offer both safe, conservative picks and high-reward longshots, so you can bet your way.

The Golden Rose typically features elite gallopers fresh off winter spells or early spring campaigns. Horses that perform well here often go on to compete in the Caulfield Guineas, Coolmore Stud Stakes, or even the Cox Plate.

While past editions have produced dominant favourites like The Autumn Sun and Exosphere, this race is just as likely to throw up an outsider at big odds. That’s where our expert racing tips come in—we analyze the form so you don’t have to.

Our Golden Rose betting tips are based on several critical factors:

  • Barrier draws: Wide gates can be a major disadvantage at Rosehill, especially over 1400m.
  • Track conditions: Wet or dry, our team adjusts their assessments accordingly.
  • Fitness and form: Is the horse peaking at the right time, or using the race as a stepping stone?
  • Speed maps and tempo: Will the race favour leaders or backmarkers?

We also consider how the market has reacted during the week. Late moves can often reveal stable confidence or insider knowledge, and we make sure to include that in our final predictions.
