Then we have a few kicking up from the inside like AMELIA’S JEWEL who somewhat surprisingly led last start. LADY SHENANDOAH will be looking to slot in somewhere from a wide barrier while COEUR VOLANTE and SCARLET OAK get nice runs from inside draws.

#1 AMELIA’S JEWEL and #4 LADY SHENANDOAH both won races at Randwick on March 1 over 1400m. The most interesting part of this is how the data and times experts rate these wins, as LADY SHENANDOAH ran close to 3 seconds faster than AMELIA’S JEWEL amazingly. As you may have understood, the races were run at completely different tempos with the Surround being run close to 6 lengths faster than class benchmark to the 600m while the Guy Walter in which AMELIA’s JEWEL won was run a ridiculous 15.6 lengths slower than class benchmark to the 600m. What does it all mean? Well, let’s try and work that out. Market will be interesting though. #4 LADY SHENANDOAH drops 1.5kg and meets #6 LADY OF CAMELOT a half a kilogram worse for the 0.3 length victory. Thought #10 MANAAL was good there, wide there on a fast speed and finding the line okay for 5^th. She meets the winner 3.5kg better, dropping 6kg for that 3.8 length defeat. She has to be in with a chance at the weights and measures but the 1500m is some query. #4 LADY SHENANDOAH won the lead up, is a star filly, runs a strong 1500m and has that very short starting price anchor which will ensure she is very short in betting again today. Barrier 13 does not help but do they let James McDonald in and try and get his back like they often do? He was always going to stay with her and not AMELIA’S JEWEL. #6 LADY OF CAMELOT has to be respected. The different form is the Mannerism in which #7 COEUR VOLANTE was brilliant, winning by a huge margin. She is a classy mare with a short SP against Joliestar and Kimochi only 5 starts back. Barrier 1 gives her the right run and she is a winning chance.

Ending up siding with #4 LADY SHENANDOAH on top but this doesn’t look a race we are keen to get involved in. #1 AMELIA’S JEWEL has to concede weight but she is a very good horse in her own right. #6 LADY OF CAMELOT tough.
