BACK: 12. Tres Belle (WIN AND PLACE) for 2 units
Liked the effort of Tres Belle first up for Shayne Cahill when raced wide for the event but kept coming through the line well for 3rd. Brave effort. The Cahill team have their horses in great order at the moment. Will be fitter for it and meets Allegedly better off at the weights. Winner 2nd up in the past and track/distance stats good.

STRATHALBYN PREVIEW AND TIPS | EXPERT TIPS | WEDNESDAY MARCH 26TH 2025
RAIL: True TRACK: Soft 5
12. Affaire Vue
8. Party Crasher
1. I run On Air
11. Hot Strut
Betting Strategy
Party Crasher comes from the same race and debuted nicely when charging home for 2nd placing. Will be fitter for it and the step up to the mile only suits. Pannell sticks.
I run On Air is another that ran on well for 3rd in that race. Is racing consistently of late and extra trip suits. Deserves to breakthrough.
Hot Strut is an 11-start MDN but probably put in a career best 2nd at Swan Hill last start. Was no match in a metro MDN two back but did have specking. Respect that.
4. Round Two
11. The Postie
12. I Am A Fine Line
1. Pirate
The Postie ran out of grade at Oakbank and worked through the line really strongly at the finish. Drops back to MDN grade here and claim helps the cause. Racing in consistent fashion.
I Am A Fine Line charged to just miss over this track/distance last time out vs the hot favourite. Proven at the track/distance and a senior takes over.
Pirate has only been fair since coming across from NSW to the Stokes stable. Is fitter for 3 runs in and like the engagement of Lachlan Neindorf.
Betting Strategy
BACK: 4. Round Two (WIN AND PLACE) for 1 unit
Round Two drops back from metro racing where the horse had been performing solidly in harder races than this. First up after a freshen was OK when 4th and ground through the line well over the 1000m scamper. 1350m suits now and will appreciate this grade.

12. Affaire Vue
3. Party Crasher
14. Outdoor Cat
‘2. Naimortal
Betting Strategy
Found this race very tricky to figure out with form flying in from everywhere. Tervelo trialed well but then didn’t bring it race day when only whacked away for 4L 5th but raced greenly in the run. Will take a bit of benefit from that and the extra 200m in trip should suit.
Shalhavemusik was in the market fresh but put a line through the horses efforts when reared the gates and then went back near the back. Made a run on the inside part of the track which was completely off. Will be better for it and should have no worries with Strathalbyn undulations being trained by Grant Young! Can improve sharply.
Cinquetti makes the debut here and is coming off just one jump out when 2nd. Always respect the David Jolly debutants.
Embellisher will find this easier than recent racing and first up effort was plain vs Ad Astra who has since won again at metro level. Few gear changes here and a claim. Is another that can improve sharply.
4. Tara Rani
3. The Doll
1. Mellifluent
2. The Big Wheel
Betting Strategy
The Doll has had a stable change and joins the powerful Stokes yard. Last start was favourite and was slowly out but still worked home well or 3rd. This is probably easier than Victorian racing and draws for an easy run in transit.
Mellifluent did a few things wrong in a harder grade than this last start and first start since being sold from Goldolphin. Draws for a soft run in transit here and like the engagement of Jake Toeroek. Drops sharply in grade.
The Big Wheel is lightly raced and done nothing wrong in both career starts with a win at Mildura and a close 2nd this track/distance last start. Sure to be there in the finish. Looks to have upside.
10. Foster Sreet
2. Talkin Italian
4. King Moya
1. Rob The Bank
Betting Strategy
Not a bad little race with a few of these horses performing well at metro level. Foster Street is a get back run on horse who ran a closing 2.7L 7th with the tempo against at Morphettville last time out. Drops in grade here and extra 150m suits. Placed 2nd only start at this track/distance. Like the engagement of a senior in Nunes.
Talkin Italian was a hard watch two back and on that thought it was a huge watch at Murray Bridge but did not fire a shot. Very poor. Might be worth forgiving and take on trust back to this midweek grade. Won well 3 back.
King Moya is another racing without a great deal of luck in strong Saturday races. Keeps finding one better! Didn’t come on last start behind Rocket Boosters but that was a strange run race. Mini freshen and back to mid-week grade could be the right potion to get back in the winners stalls.
Rob The Bank has won twice here in his past three runs. Clearly loves the track and distance. Has to carry a big weight here but it a big horse and should have no issues with that.
12. The Ice Cutter
5. Splash Landing
9. We’ve Gotta Deel
1. A Magic Gust
Betting Strategy
The Ice Cutter doesn’t win out of turn but ran a much better race when specked in the market at Oakbank when flashed home between runners for 2.2L 4th. Drops back to 1600m from 1900m but is trained on the track. Should be coming late outside at a nice each-way price.
Splash Landing found the 1200m too short first up but worked through the gears nicely late for 5th, The 1600m suits now and is a winner at the track previously. Lightly raced and might have more upside than some of these.
We’ve Gotta Deel and A Magic Gust both really caught the eye late from well back in the same race here over this track and distance last time out. No reason why they both wont be flooding home again.
3. Kirkliston Blue
11. Red Sequoia
6. Tyusix
7. Miss Brittany
Tyusix got a well deserved win for connections with Lachy Neindorf in the saddle. Can win again but will need a more positive approach from regular rider Zoe Lloyd here. Claim helps the cause. Miss Brittany is first up here in SA since joining the Phiilip Stokes stable. Might need the run fresh but might have ability alone to get her over the line.
Betting Strategy
BACK: 11. Red Sequoia (WIN) for 1 unit
Red Sequoia caught the eye from well back this track/distance two back then I thought it was a rough chance in a good metro race but was given none when ridden upside down on a fast speed by Stacey Metcalfe. That’s not her go! Back to the mid-weekers and a positive jockey change here. Can bounce back.
BACK: 3. Kirkliston Blue (WIN) for 2 units
Kirklston Blue had long odds specking last start but raced as if the 1350m was too short. Hard ridden on the corner but best work was through the line for 2.6L 7th. Clearly looking for this longer trip now and Nunes sticking the ride is a positive.
12. Tres Belle
5. Big Mav
4. Tupelou
1. Allegedly
Big Mav is racing in great heart since joining the astute Sarah Rutten stable. Was only OK for 3.9L 9th here but was probably in the worst part of the track. Forgive that and go on previous efforts.
Tupelou won well here two back before being OK at metro level for 4th behind Cork Harbour. Gets back to the mid-weekers and reunites with winning rider Jake Toeroek. Allegedly toughed it out to score well here last time out. Won two from 3 here at Strath. Jumps up in weight but still should be charging home late.
Betting Strategy
