BACK: 3. Free Beer (WIN) for 2 units
Free Beer drops back from a strong metro class 2 when nothing went right for the gelding. He was held up at the corner then checked horribly out of the race when the horse was letting down with a strong finish. Finished 2.4L 9th but arguably should have won. This is a much easier assignment. He draws for the soft run from the inside gate and gets the regular stable jockey in Maggie Collett aboard. He’s a better horse than this grade. Just needs a kill to get the confidence back up.
