Not a hugely appealing betting race to kick of this meeting. Hard to fully trust a few of these stayers, went with ALPINE KANDY as an on top selection. She has been close in her last 4 runs, placing in them all and up in trip may suit, but not keen enough to bet.

The only one in this race that I am super keen to be backing is BALLINDERRY SAL. She was a complete forgive last start and her prior form was very good. She is down to race at Rosehill Saturday and looks more likely to go there though. So if she doesn’t race here, will be a no bet race.

Low confidence betting race here. Think the market is quite open and a few of these wouldn’t surprise. VIERI ran on well enough to suggest that with some natural improvement and the fact he has drawn a good barrier you would think he gets every chance but the race does look open enough to have me staying out.

NEWS BOUND won in impressive fashion on debut back in January. She resumed recently at Bathurst and was a well supported favourite. While based on her price, she may have disappointed in that last start, but she will take good benefit out of that run and can certainly bounce back in strong fashion here.

Tricky betting race as it has a hand full of inexperienced runners that all do look to have reasonable talent so any of them wouldn’t surprise here. ENHANCE perhaps brings in the stronger earlier career form lines than some of the others. He is resuming here today and has been trialling well but in a race like this I would prefer to have no bet.

Seeing FLORINO for the first time in about 6 weeks roughly after he contested a much stronger race at Randwick last time out. He looked as if he had some genuine excuses that day so has been back to the trials since and those trials he has shown good enough talent to suggest he will be in good order. Finds himself in a much easier race here today and can certainly bounce back.

Tough race to finish today. The resuming RELUCTANCE is the on top pick for the race. He is a previous winner when fresh and this is a slight drop in grade for him. But not confident enough to be betting.
