Ryan Leaver has been a sports fan since before he could talk. Now, Ryan helps fans understand and love the game in his role for Stats Insider, which is Australia's leading provider of advanced analytics and predictions for the world's most popular sports. Stats Insider's machine learning models take a number of different approaches to predicting the outcome of sporting events, such as simulating a game 10,000 times to understand the range of outcomes, and how likely each of them is. Ryan is especially interested in the AFL and soccer, with the NFL moving up the ladder.
