Found this a very competitive race so from a market perspective the value feels like it comes from taking on race favourite NEPO BABY. She was well supported on debut and won in good fashion, but needs to take a step up in grade for this against some more seasoned horses in a race that may have a bit more pressure up on the speed.

Expecting he can be a runner who rises through his grades off this.

He looked as if he didn’t appreciate the heavy track conditions, so will be much better suited on dryer ground here today and coming back slightly in distance will suit. If he can find improvement as expected he looks the one to beat.

Expect that CAPE BYRON will be fitter 2nd up today and rising up to the 1400m trip will suit after he hit the line well last start. Similar for EXTRAVAGANT CHOICE who ran into the placings 1st up but may be better suited rising in distance here and he looks well off at the weights after an apprentice claim. SHOW COUNTY looks the map horse of the race and the likely leader, he has won 2 of his last 3 runs so with a soft lead could take catching. TAVOLO next in the picks who is dropping in grade after she didnt finish too far away from the winners in her 1st up run.

Drawn in barrier 2, he can likely settle in a strong position again so is every chance to win 2 in a row now. MONTE BE QUICK looks the likely leader of the race from a low barrier, he drops in grade off his 2 recent runs which could see him improve from recent results. AFFERMATO has run 2 close placings in his last 2 starts so suggest he will be around the mark again at this level. OMNIC rises up in trip now which should suit.

JAMBALAYA drops back down in grade for this which could help him find improvement off his recent efforts. BELIEVE IN ANGELS is 2nd up off a freshen up and could be an improver off his 1st up run while NARCISSIST looks to rise in grade today having won his maiden last start, needs to find improvement off that run but could get every chance to do so from a good barrier.
