Zaaki should lead and races best when sets a strong tempo, with Converge and Profondo settling on pace behind.
Hinged, Montefilia and Anamoe likely to settle midfield.
Icebath, Maximal, Duais and Fangirl out the back.
Final Field- Key Chances
1.   Zaaki – 3 time G1 winner, plus won the All Star Mile last prep. Led all the way first up to win the Tramway G2 by 2L. Loses JMac here
3.  Anamoe – Classy multiple G1 winning entire who was beaten a nose in last year’s Cox Plate, and was impressive winning the Winx Stakes G1 first up by 1.6L. JMac sticks with him.
4.  Converge – High quality 4yo who has won G1 miles as a 2yo and a 3yo, including beating Anamoe this track/distance in the Randwick Guineas last prep. Failed first up on the wet track, but he can turn that form around sharply here.
9.  Fangirl – Very high-quality mare who won the G1 Vinery last prep. Won the G2 Light Fingers first up last prep over 1200m, so can certainly sprint well fresh. Trialled nicely at Rosehill 12 August running +6.7 for the last 400m, the 2nd quickest of all triallers on the day under no pressure. Was slow away and charged home for 2nd in the G1 Winx Stakes first up. +10.5 last 600m the quickest of the day. Waller has an imposing record in this race.
10.  Hinged – Won the G1 Surround Stakes last prep as a 3yo second up, before placing in two more G1 races, including in the Coolmore Classic against the older mares. Didn’t get clear running in the straight in the G1 Winx Stakes first up when 5th only beaten 2.6L. Blinkers first time. Can figure again here.
Top 5 Selections (Key Runners)
9 – Fangirl
4 – Converge
3 – Anamoe
1 – Zaaki
10 – Hinged
Summary
Look to be 4 key chances in the race.
Zaaki has a rider change and has a prep that hasn’t won the race over the past 10 years.
Anamoe the one to beat, but currently even money.
Fangirl is flying and if Zaaki sets a strong tempo as expected, she can swoop over the top.
Converge is underrated and back to a dry track can measure up here.
