COOLMORE STUD STAKES: KEY RUNNERS

Shinzo – Golden Slipper winner who wasn’t far off them in the Golden Rose first up despite pulling up lame. Ran 9^th in The Everest beaten 3.9L with some good late sectionals. Home Affairs with the same trainer/owner ran in the Everest (9^th beaten 5.4L) and then bolted in to win this race in 2021 by 3.3L next start. Shinzo profiles similarly.

Cylinder– 4-time Group winner who ran 2^nd in a Golden Slipper, 3^rd in a Golden Rose and 5^th in The Everest. Is a deserved favourite.

King’s Gambit – Ran 3^rd in the Golden Slipper as a 2yo. Was strong winning the G2 Roman Consul takes by 1.6L last start. In the mix here.

Steparty – Won first 5 career starts over 1100m-1400m then a solid 3^rd in the Caulfield Guineas. Blinkers first time here. Can win.

Scheelite – Charged home for minor prizemoney in first 3 runs this prep close to the winner at G3 level. Didn’t run out the mile in the Caulfield Guineas. Back to 1200 here, down the straight suits.

Nadal – Was an unlucky 3^rd behind by Cylinder in the Run To The Rose beaten 0.5L, then beaten only 3.9L in the Cox Plate.

Tiz Invincible – Was very impressive in first 3 wins this prep in Listed and G2 grade. Was wide no cover in the Flight Stakes only beaten 2.9L. Suited here.
