Reece Goodwin was born into the racing world, with his early encounters with legendary horses like Doriemus and Schillaci setting the stage for his future. A former jockey, Reece transitioned to training in 2022, launching Reece Goodwin Racing at the state-of-the-art Pakenham Racing Club. His passion for horses, combined with international experience, quickly translated to success—he trained his first winner in April 2022, followed by his first metropolitan victory at Sandown later that year, marking his 14th win within just eight months of training.
