EXPERT GREYHOUND TIPS: SANDOWN PARK

Best Bets

Michael Tye

BACK: 1. Not Our Fault (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.15)

Not Our Fault was excellent last start after slightly missing the start and then being held up at the first turn. This race looks a lot easier and the inside draw only assists the winning chances.

SANDOWN PARK PREVIEW AND TIPS | EXPERT TIPS | MONDAY SEPTEMBER 29TH 2025

Track: Good.

6. Mepunga Zircon
4. Rapid Rita
2. Canya Hold On
3. Reuben’s Rock

Betting Strategy

Mepunga Zircon is just too unreliable at box rise to bet here. Even if he missed the start by a length or two, he would still likely win this but there’s that chance he could miss it by 8 lengths but not willing to Lay.

5. Manson Lamps
8. Dr Warren
1. Amron Toy
4. Dundee Teddy

Betting Strategy

LAY: 1. Amron Toy (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.00)

I can’t recall a greyhound who seems to be trying to find trouble more than Amron Toy. He keeps getting backed and should be in red figures here so I’m happy to take him on again. He will likely be more interested in bumping than chasing the arm so that’s enough for me to be against.

7. Whispered
6. Quick Strike
2. Regal Spencer
1. My Dear Friend

Betting Strategy

LAY: 2. Regal Spencer (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $4.40)

Regal Spencer was only average last start in a very winnable race. He only ran 35.02 and was entitled to finish the way he did against weak opposition. I can see him finding trouble again in the early stages and hopefully leaves his run too late again.

2. Stunner
1. Ground Control
5. Mighty Multi
8. Mepunga Sandy

Betting Strategy

LAY: 8. Mepunga Sandy (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $5.75)

Mepunga Sandy may struggle to get across from the dreaded outside draw here. This draw over this 515m start is poor to begin with but add in several wide runners drawn underneath and this draw looks horrid.

5. Mighty Heighty
2. Billy Ray Mikado
4. Snitch Adams
3. Navy Blue Buzz

Betting Strategy

Any of the Top 4 selections could win this without surprising.

1. Not Our Fault
2. Motor City Rossi
5. Canya Bolt
6. Harvington

Betting Strategy

BACK: 1. Not Our Fault (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $2.15)

Not Our Fault was excellent last start after slightly missing the start and then being held up at the first turn. This race looks a lot easier and the inside draw only assists the winning chances.

1. Paw Yale
7. Delicious
8. Paw Gregson
3. Bounding Chief

Betting Strategy

BACK: 1. Paw Yale (WIN) for 1 unit (Rated at $3.40)

This is a case of a race where I don’t like the draws for most of these but Paw Yale looks suited to the inside draw and a friendly map and should be right in the finish if he makes no mistakes.

6. Overland Boy
2. Paw Whitley
3. Mepunga Scarlett
7. Paw Drogo

Betting Strategy

This looks impossible. Pass.

1. Paw Vince
8. Dotty’s Gift
6. Warm Hugs
2. Dotty’s Gift

Betting Strategy

BACK: 1. Paw Vince (WIN) for 3 units (Rated at $1.80)

Paw Vince has a great mix of speed and strength and the inside draw looks a massive plus. Zipping Una looks every chance to push off the track as well which could give Paw Vince extra room.

1. Weblec Billy
2. Sparring
4. Ian Albert
5. Morning

Betting Strategy

Ian Albert and Morning can vary their form too greatly. Watching only.

5. Dapper Chap
4. Aston Bugsy
1. Scout Ace
7. Cheeky Chompers

Betting Strategy

BACK: 5. Dapper Chap (WIN) for 2 units (Rated at $2.00 )

Aston Bugsy has been unlucky lately but may be unlucky again here as he will likely begin well, find the early lead and hunt for the rails. But in doing so will likely give Dapper Chap plenty of room to move, a cart into the race and the back half of the race will be stronger than Aston Bugsy’s.

1. Measurement
5. Honey Ryder
8. Aston Countach
2. Ross The Boss

Betting Strategy

One of the best Race 12’s you will ever see on a Monday night but this is too hard.
