The Oaks looks a competitive race this year with several winning chances.<\/p>\n

Scarlet Oak won the main lead up the Roses and she can win again however drawn wider here presents new challenges for her. Mare Of Mt Buller was good coming through the same race and may have got to Scarlet Oak in another few bounds. Potentially she was on the inferior part of the track also.<\/p>\n

Moonlight Magic on the quick seven day back up makes some appeal although beaten 10 lengths by Warmonger that was one of the best Derby performances in recent times and the stable needed a result to get a run in the Oaks, so here she is.<\/p>\n

Molly Bloom had a tough run last start but a roughie of the field Miss Joelene went straight past her and she also did not have the easiest of runs throughout.<\/p>\n

Based on the early market, I feel there is an opportunity to play small around the current second fave and one at double figures.<\/p>\n
