{"id":56582,"date":"2024-11-06T16:04:55","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:04:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.betfair.com.au\/hub\/?p=56582"},"modified":"2024-11-06T16:04:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:04:59","slug":"loss-refund-terms-and-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.betfair.com.au\/hub\/uncategorized\/loss-refund-terms-and-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Loss Refund \u2013 Terms and Conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"education-content border-b pb-10 block\">\n      \n          <div class=\"education-content__row my-3\">\n        <div class=\"container reduced-width\">\n          <p>Betfair Pty Limited\u2019s (<strong>Betfair\u2019s<\/strong>) Loss Refund (<strong>the Offer<\/strong>) is governed by the following Terms and Conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The following customers are not eligible to participate in the Offer and will not receive any prize:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South Australian customers;<\/li>\n<li>Betfair employees; and<\/li>\n<li>Customers that were not sent the offer via SMS or email by Betfair.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By participating in the Offer, you will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Offer \u2013 How it works and Qualifying Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Post receiving the Offer, customers will be eligible for a loss refund up to the specified dollar amount communicated in the Offer (<strong>Loss Refund Cap<\/strong>). The Loss Refund will be eligible on all bets placed in non-Politics markets (<strong>Qualifying Markets<\/strong>) on the Betfair Exchange that settle during the Qualifying Period (<strong>Qualifying Bets<\/strong>). The Qualifying Period starts 12:00:01 am AEDT Wednesday 6 November 2024 and runs until 11:59:59 pm AEDT Saturday 30 November 2024 inclusive (<strong>Qualifying Period<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>After the Qualifying Period has concluded, Betfair will assess each eligible customer\u2019s profit and loss across all bets placed on non-Politics markets during the Qualifying Period and refund the total net loss amount up to each customer\u2019s specified Loss Refund.<\/p>\n<p>There are no qualifying stake requirements for the Loss Refund.<\/p>\n<p>It is also noted that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>unmatched bets will not count as a Qualifying Bet; and<\/li>\n<li>any bets placed on Qualifying Markets that settle outside of the Qualifying Period are not eligible to for any Loss Refunds<strong>. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Loss Refunds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For eligible customers, Betfair will be processing Betfair account credits for eligible Loss Refunds on, or around Monday 2 December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples of Loss Refunds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Example 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Customer is eligible for a $50 AUD Loss Refund during the Loss Refund Cap communicated in the Offer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is agreed that:<\/p>\n<p>Betfair\u2019s decision on the Loss Refunds will be final, and further correspondence will not be entered into.<\/p>\n<p>Betfair can, in its absolute discretion and at any point in time;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cancel or suspend the Offer;<\/li>\n<li>remove a customer from the Offer, in which case the customer will no longer be eligible for the Loss Refund;<\/li>\n<li>alter the Qualifying Markets and method of assessing the Loss Refund; and<\/li>\n<li>amend these Terms and Conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If a customer\u2019s Betfair account is closed, suspended, self-excluded or timed out for any reason during the Qualifying Period the customer will be removed from the Offer and become ineligible for any Loss Refund.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Betfair shall not be liable for any loss howsoever arising as a result of a customer\u2019s
