LATE MAIL: UFC 297 -Dricus Du Plessis vs Sean Strickland<\/h2>\n

This will most likely be a striking fight, at least early, because Sean Strickland is a very difficult fighter to grapple when fresh. If any grappling takes place all the upside is on the south african\u00b4s side though, and Du Plessis having success grappling a tired Strickland if the fight goes really deep is a possibility. On the feet Strickland has an excellent jab and boxing, as he proved solving the Adesanya puzzle last year coming through for us as a huge underdog, but I think this is a very different matchup.<\/p>\n

Dricus is a fantastic kickboxer, very unorthodox with huge power in both hands and physicality, that fights with very strange timing making him even more dangerous for a fighter like Strickland that relies on making reads on his opponents and reactive defense. I think at some point Dricus will catch Sean and hurt him setting up a finish soon after.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n
