More Races, More Ways To Bet <\/h2>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n \n

We are excited to share that from Monday August 21st<\/sup> 2023, Exotics markets (Exactas and Quinellas) will be offered across all* Australian Thoroughbred and Greyhound meetings on the Betfair Exchange.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n

Okay, but what is exotics betting? <\/h2>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n \n

While Exotics are relatively new to the Betfair Exchange, the concept has been around the wider betting landscape for a long time. It gives punters the opportunity to bet on a specific winning and place combination on a race.<\/p>\n

On the Exchange, these include:<\/p>\n

Quinella \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>A Quinella bet involves backing or laying two horses or dogs to finish first and second, in any order. Customers can either back (bet on) this outcome or lay (bet against) it. The winning selection in the market will be the combination involving the first placed horse or dog, and the 2nd<\/sup> placed horse or dog, in any order.<\/p>\n

Exacta \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>An Exacta bet involves backing or laying two horses or dogs to finish first and second in the exact order. Customers can either back (bet on) this outcome or lay (bet against) it. The winning selection in the market will be the combination involving the first placed horse or dog, and the 2nd<\/sup> placed horse or dog, in that exact order.<\/p>\n

Exotics markets will be available on the Betfair Exchange on race day.<\/p>\n

*Where a late scratching occurs on a race after Exotics markets are loaded, Exotics markets will be removed for that race, with all bets voided.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n
