Mailbag Trial Reports: Warrnambool Carnival 2020

Trials and Jump Outs in Victoria can be hard to find and even harder to identify runners.

Nick Noonan does the hard yards and provides you with a detailed report on relevant trials & jumpouts ahead of both days of the Warrnambool Carnival.

You can find these Trial Reports and more on the Mailbag.

A cracking day of racing from The Bool for Day 2. Plenty of horses on the program have jumped out recently a couple of 2yos on the program really caught my eye, The first of them was The Billionaire who is having his second race day start on Wednesday.

He has been back to the jump outs since his debut run and went very well finding the line strongly to finish 2nd to Forever Free. I think he will redeem himself in Race 1 and repay the punters that launched into the short odds on debut.

Race 3 is the Vobis Gold strike we see 4 debutants there was a clear standout for mine in Pocket Goddess the daughter of speedster Karuta Queen. She has shown plenty in recent Flemington jump outs and I think she will lead the field and be hard to beat.

Reykjavik brings plenty of intrigue to the Wangoom he is very good 2nd up. He has ticked over nicely since his first up run with a nice hit out at Warrnambool, I think he will be at his best on Wednesday. Never Again has jumped out well leading into the Wangoom doubt he gets a run but if he does, he’d be right in it off his jump outs.

Good luck punters!

Day 1 of The Bool kicks off on Tuesday with an all jumps racing program. A massive session of jumps trials was conducted at Warrnambool on the 28th of April which over 40 horses competed in who are running on this program.

The feature is the Grand Annual what a race it is this year with Grand Annual heroes Zed Em & Gold Medals heading the weights. They come up against a newcomer in Ablaze who is well respected in early markets. Zed Em & Golds Medals both trialled very well with Gold Medals beating Zed Em in an arrogant style.

Ablaze was also in the trial he looks to have a bit to find on the veterans off his performance in the trial. Runaway has been ultra-impressive winning his only 2 jumps starts. His recent trial was absolutely faultless wining with ease I think he may even improve since his last start as he jumped beautifully.

Some cracking maidens to start the day Casa Larada looks well placed in the first event. Inayforhay and Sir Isaac Newton dominate the market in Race 3 they both have trialled extremely well I would be surprised if one of them didn’t win.

Good luck punters!
