ROSEHILL RACING TIPS | SATURDAY 26 MARCH 2022
Saturday racing at Rosehill featuring two Group One races, the Tancred and Vinery.
The track is currently rated a Soft 7 however there is further rain forecast including on race day so I expect that a downgrade is very likely. The rail is +5m 1400m-W/Post and +4m the remainder.
BEST BACK OF THE DAY: RACE 8 | #6 Gypsy Goddess (WIN) for 4 units
The first up win at Eagle Farm was comfortable over the mile and with the big weight. She does look like she could be a very special horse and happy to be with her in this race that the trainer has had earmarked for many months now.
BEST LAY OF THE DAY: RACE 7 | #1 Think It Over (WIN) to win 2 units
Went to Melbourne last start in an attempt to dodge wet tracks and they are back here on what will likely be a Soft 7 or worse. Happy to risk at the current quote as he is much better on top of the ground.

This looks a target race for this horse where for some of the others it looks more of an afterthought or an unexpected progression. The win first up was strong and then last time raced well in the Group 2 Phar Lap. Suited to 2000m 3rd up and I feel he can only run well here.

Produced a career peak figure to win first up and the stable has stated publicly how much they believe she has improved. Jamie Kah sticks for this and as long as she can settle just behind the first pair she will be hard to beat here 2nd up.

Looks to be a target race from the stable looking to qualify another runner for the Doncaster. Stable would have identified that this race would likely be run on a rain affected surface which this horse loves and gets into this with just 53kg with Jamie Kah to ride.
There is plenty of speed to ensure a genuine tempo in this race and some of the best performances from this horse have been in fast run races.

BACK (SAVE) – Hinged for 1.5 units
The run was very good in the Coolmore against older mares and the stable has stated for some time now that this looks like their Vinery horse. Further, I just have to respect an in-form jockey, particularly one that is winning races at the highest level of late.

BACK (WIN) – Gravina for 2 units
Happy to be with Gravina here on the wet track and back up to 1200m which this horse appears to be far better suited. Brings strong form lines to this including a third placing to Shelby Sixtysix who won the group 1 Galaxy last week.
LAY (PLACE) – Quantico to win 1 unit
Has had no success on a wet track to date so I am happy to oppose at the current place price here. There are other runners in this race who may not be as good as this horse, however they can handle the rain affected surface and are better suited today.
