TRACK: Randwick DISTANCE: 1400m RESTRICTIONS: Fillies and Mares, RAIL: 4M, CONDITIONS: Heavy 8 (Predicted Heavy 9)

Rain forecast for the rest of the week which should keep the track in the heavy range.

Just the second edition of this race. Icebath won it last year.

Decent speed here with Expat, Electric Girl and Forbidden Love likely to push forward.

Barb Raider, Nimalee and Sheeza Belter can settle handy.

Belle Plaisir, Swats That and Espiona back of midfield.

Promise Of Success, Never Talk and Icebath out the back.

2. Nimalee – Won the G1 Queen Of The Turf this track in heavy going last prep. Won the Golden Pendant two starts back. On pacer who is right in this.
3. Icebath – Won this race last year. Has been G1 placed 4 times since then. Strong chance again.
5. Promise Of Success – Forgive first up run. Has shown plenty of talent in career and won the G2 Emancipation last prep. Can figure here
6. Swats That – Has had no luck this prep. Deserves to win a decent race, but wet track 1400m may prove a challenge
8. Barb Raider. Handy, consistent mare. Races well fresh, but first up here on a wet track is an ask.
10. Espiona – Has failed 3 times at Rosehill, including both runs this prep, but has been very impressive at other tracks in her career. 2nd beaten a head at G2 level, 3rd at G1 level this track/distance and a dominant G3 win by 4.4L in 3 runs this prep. Ran excellent closing sectionals last start. Ready to win here.
11. Never Talk – Gets a long way back but has a strong finish. Place chance.
12. Sheeza Belter – Talented filly won won at G2 and G1 level in Brisbane last prep. First up on wet ground is the task here.

1. 10 – Espiona
2. 2 – Nimalee
3. 3 – Icebath
4. 5 – Promise Of Success
5. 6 – Swats That

Narrowing it down to 3 key chances. Espiona, Nimalee and Icebath rate clearly on top and reasonably evenly once jockeys are factored into consideration.

Promise Of Success, Swats That, Barb Raider and Sheeza Belter are all capable of winning.

Forbidden Love doesn’t appear to be racing anywhere near her best, and Electric Girl needs it drier. Never Talk a place hope.

BACK 10 – Espiona 1.0w

BACK 2 – Nimalee 1.0w

BACK 3 – Icebath 1.0w
