Soft 4 | Rail 12m

Rail to 12m and only 56 accept at Eagle Farm. Just a horrible set up. Anyway, we have to find winners. They usually avoid the rail but that far out I don’t think they will be too far off it at all.

KINGSTON’S HERE looks to have all the upside here but what price does he start in this if he was $1.90 in a hot Saturday race last start? That was a stupid price but he ran very well. 1400m on EF with blinkers first time isn’t actually something I’d be doing with him but he’s the best horse in the race with the best jockey on board. He will start fav but I will be wanting over $2 to have a bet.

MOB BUSTER is more a miler but was placed at G3 level behind Aryton last start. Off that alone you have to respect here.

REAL EMPRESS was only 1.8L off KINGSTON’S HERE last start and gets a 4kg swing in her favour. Byrne also stays on top. Any money for JETTY would have to be respected for the leading stable.

Betting Strategy

BACK (WIN) — Kingston’s Here for 2 units

Important to see how the track has played all day obviously. CABARITA is a very well-bred filly who showed more than enough last prep to say she can be competitive here. The Freedmans have an incredible record in recent times when heading north. Only had the one official trial leading into this? Money trail might tell us if she is ready to go fresh.

I AM A BEAUTY has always promised to be a decent horse but it took until last start (start 11) to break through. Not the easiest CL1 they could have found but has run well on the track which helps.

Another coming off a maiden win is KANALAIDE. Love the fact they were aggressive last start and if the track is playing to the fact it would be a positive for this horse. Mallyon can sit behind the leaders and there looks to be a lot of upside with this 3yr old son of Adelaide. Looks well placed and around $5.50 looks fair.

KANALAIDE is worth something on. CABARITA was a bet yesterday at the $13 but all the way into $5 means it’s a saver bet for me now.

Betting Strategy

BACK (WIN) — Kanalaide for 1.25 units

BACK (WIN) — Cabarita for 0.75 units
