ProLays: Wednesday 5th April 2017

Every week on The Hub, professional punters from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Champion Bets –

Nathan Snow – @snowbet – Warwick Farm – Race 1 #4 Lankan Pharoah (Place)

Snow Says: “Failed at its only run in Melbourne last preparation and three recent trials in Sydney have been nothing flash, including the latest one with Blinkers on. Only a field of seven but a few are going well so happy to oppose it here. ”

Racing Watch –

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Warwick Farm – Race 3 #1 Egg Tart (Place)

Walter Says: “Whilst this filly arrives here off the back of a very solid first up victory, she finds a much deeper assignment here. The track was reported a Heavy 8 first up but raced closer to a Good 4. Comes to a heavy 10 this time on a track that usually favours those on pace when very wet. From an inside draw she goes up in distance, class and could easily be three back the inside early with a huge task ahead. Keen to bet around her at this time and lay her with confidence.”

Ratings2Win –

Chris Nelson – @qldtrials – Sunshine Coast – Race 3 #1 Omnia Marka Tayada

Daily Says: “Last start winner here class one grade horse who is facing a much tougher task today. He can again find a spot up on the pace as he did on that occasion, however up to class two level the opposition is definitely stronger and that’s likely to find him out. He does race well here on the track, but up in grade and weight he’s better suited to place rather than win.”

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Sunshine Coast – Race 7 #4 Ima Showman

McLeod Says: “He was disappointing second up at Toowoomba and is short enough on that effort in a race full of chances.”

Ratings2Win –

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Strathalbym – Race 1 #4 Roper Red

Daily Says: “Gets the Blinkers and Tongue Tie for the first time. Has yet to race well in seven career starts and today steps up from 1203m to 1607m second up off a long spell and 28 days since the first up run. Despite running wide for much of the trip last time the setup of today’s race and the current fixed odds of $1.95 make me want to oppose him.”

Horse Racing Professionals –

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff  – Strathalbym – Race 2 #6 Cappadocia

McMurray Says: “Happy to oppose Cappadocia who looks very skinny at its early quote. Was very plain first up and its only win was just OK and on a heavy track. Faces a few handy ones today headed by Lady Alcatraz. In addition, healthy respect for the first starter in Rupture who has a pedigree mating that is very good. Think this race looks a bit rich for Cappadocia on exposed form.”

racebk –

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – Bendigo Harness – Race 9 #10 Saxon Rose

Krahe Says: “A nice trotters race to finish, this filly crossed the Tasman and had a few starts at Menangle for one victory then came south to the strong Andy Gath stable where she was a very good second to Une Belle Allure last time. She may have improved since coming south; however, I’m going to take her on from what I saw in NSW. There’s multiple winning chances outside her, which adds to my confidence!”

Rick Williams Racing –

Rick Williams – @rwilliamsracing – Launceston – Race 4 #1 Cheers Chappy

Williams Says: “Lacks any great early speed and will likely drift back here from a sticky draw. Form is modest as is overall recent and career figures. Happy to oppose at $2.60 in early betting.”

Racetrack Ralphy –

Ralph Horowitz – @rtralphy – Sandown Hilside 4 #2 Single Note

Horowitz Says: “Going for her fourth consecutive win including last start at this track and distance, but I’m happy to oppose her today. Today’s track will be much drier than last start where he ‘powered away’ with just the 52nd best last 200 of the day off an even tempo only. Her lakeside win on March 1 was a bit better, but that inner track suited her on pace style where she won by a nose. Confidently assert that the best of at least four of her opposition today is better than her, so the $4.00-$4.60 prices seem to be based on her winning, but not from the substance to what she has been doing.”
