Punting Form –

Shane Baker – @PuntingForm – Sandown Lakeisde – Race 1 #4 Mulk

Baker Says: “The most experienced runner in this small field, but has not shown too much ability to date. Coming off a run over 1400m on the Pakenham Synthetic track and back on turf today over the same distance (not the best recipe for success). Hard to see much early pace here, which may have favoured a horse with an edge in fitness (like Mulk). It looks too short a price in the early market and we fancy one of the more lightly race runners in Cosmic Impact. ”

Horse Racing Professionals –

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff  – Sandown – Race 1 #4 Mulk

McMurray Says: “Has had a few chances in suitable races but still yet to win one. Not sure he has a great deal of upside going into this. Bellegano looks a nice type and is really well suited out to 1400m of today’s race. For those reasons happy to oppose Mulk at the short odds.”

Racetrack Ralphy –

Ralph Horowitz – @rtralphy – Sandown Lakeside – Race 4 #7 Sayed (Place)

Horowitz Says: “First Victorian start off a second on a rock hard track at Wyong looking at the overall sectionals on the day, and as such entitled to be sceptical of the overall time when second to stablemate Baysa. Concede big weight to it on the day, and gets Williams on and 5kgs off here, so he’ll have his fans on those factors, however he gets onto a track with give today at best, taking on two stayers I expect to fight the race out in Granddukeoftuscany and Kellstorm. That leaves one place spot if they do, and Monogram looks set to run her best race for the prep.”

Rick Williams Racing –

Rick Williams – @rwilliamsracing – Sandown – Race 8 #3 Vantaggio

Williams Says: “Is going really well but this looks a really deep race and I can’t get it anywhere near the $3.60 on offer in early markets.”

Racing Watch –

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Canterbury – Race 3 #5 Hay Now (Place)

Walter Says: “This horse has been placed extremely well not missing a placing in nine starts. Today looks a very different setup getting out to 1900m from a soft 1500m Highway race. The heavy surface is only going to make the distance rise more difficult. The wide gate looks to force them forward and working throughout or if restrained, a long way off them. Either scenario makes her vulnerable and no value well in the market.”

Champion Bets –

Nathan Snow – @snowbet – Canterbury – Race 3 #5 Hay Now

Snow Says:”Put three wins together this preparation, but in much weaker races and her figures only average on each occasion. The step up to 1900m is a query, plus an awkward barrier along with the step up in grade makes it a good risk to run top three here.”

Queensland Trials –

Chris Nelson – @qldtrials – Gold Coast – Race 2 #9 Sornja

Nelson Says: “Very consistent filly from the O’Dea stable who has opened up an odds-on favourite in the early markets suggesting many think today is the day she will shed her maiden status. Whilst I have no doubt she’s the best horse in the race I do have a big query on her running out a strong 1800m. She looked the winner twice in her last four starts over 1400m only to be run down on the line. There are no stars in this field however there are definitely a couple who can hit the line strongly which will again spell trouble for her at the business end of the race.”

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Gold Coast– Race 8 #7 Shamfrancisco

McLeod Says: “There seems to be good speed engaged here. Shamfrancisco is a horse that likes to sit on the speed, therefore will be vulnerable at the finish.”

Ratings2Win –

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Balaklava – Race 8 #4 Just Resting (E/W)

Daily Says: “Disappointing last start when a well beaten $4.50 favourite at Murray Bridge. Has had a break of 28 days coming into this and recent ratings combined with his current fixed odds of $4.80 make him one to gamble against. Simon Price stays aboard which doesn’t inspire given his ordinary overall record with only one win from his last 45 starts at this track.”

racebk –

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – Stawell Harness – Race 9 #2 Big Bang Leonard

Krahe Says: “Won well at Terang in a C2-C3 coming home easily in good time. However, this is a jump to C4-C6 grade and there are some handy horses opposing him today.”
