Every week on The Hub, professional punters from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Punting Form – www.puntingform.com.au

Shane Baker – @PuntingForm – Ipswich– Race 1 #4 Angel Dane

Baker Says: “Taking on a first starter which has come up as favourite in the early markets. It will need to bring its ‘A game’ in this 800m scamper and not make any mistakes getting out of the barrier and into stride. Angel Dane has no public trial information to go on, which could be considered a risk in deciding to oppose it, but we quite like the chances of Darktown Strutter, being ridden by Jeff Lloyd, which has the benefit of a prior preparation and a recent barrier trial leading into this. Happy to oppose the unexposed and inexperienced.”

Champion Bets – www.championbets.com.au

Nathan Snow – @snowbet –  Warwick Farm – Race 1 #4 Aeecee Tong De (Place)

Snow Says: “Showed good speed and was getting tired late over 1100m first up. Finds a strong race here with plenty of chances and is a big query seeing out 1200m. Looks a good risk in the place market at the short odds.”

Macbet- www.macbet.com.au

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Ipswich – Race 4 #5 Bourbon Road

McLeod Says: “Bourbon Road we had a nice bet on last time when beaten narrowly, but this race sets up differently here. With the rail out and barrier nine he looks like he could get into a lot of trouble and therefore as the $4.20 second favourite looks a mile under the odds.”

Racing Watch – www.racingwatch.com.au

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Warwick Farm – Race 3 #5 Rugosa Rose (Place)

Walter Says: “On debut from the Waterhouse camp over the 1200m. Draws awkwardly and likely to work in the run. Trials certainly looked solid performances, but nothing there to warrant being favourite in what looks to be a race that all runners are capable of measuring up to. Every chance she will be most vulnerable late and happy to risk her today at the short odds.”

Racetrack Ralphy – www.racetrackralphy.com.au

Ralph Horowitz – @rtralphy – Pakenham – Race 4 #1 Miss Iano (Place)

Horowitz Says: “Ticks two boxing of having won here and doing so on wet ground. That said, she is a very basic mare, shown through her SP profile of $13 and $19 in those victories. The drop back to 1000m from slow time 1200m wins is of concern and in a field of only eight rnners I’ve comfortably got four runners if not six ahead of her and Aaron Lynch goes on who’s had 13 winless single figure odds rides in May. Her last start easy win was the same time of the equally basic Class. At $7.00 in the early market and around $2.50 a place I’m keen to say she won’t run a place!”

Queensland Trials – www.queenslandtrials.com.au

Chris Nelson – @qldtrials – Ipswich – Race 6 #2 Exceedingly Canny

Nelson Says: “Ex-Victorian mare who won at her first run for the new yard at Grafton five weeks ago. The time she clocked in winning that day wasn’t anything to get excited about and the form out of the race has been average at best. She’s had one start since finishing down the track at the Gold Coast after hanging out before the home turn. She comes up with a wide gate today with the rail out a long way and is likely to cover plenty of additional ground. Under the odds as the early second favourite.”

Ratings2Win – www.ratings2win.com.au

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Ipswich – Race 7 #5 Truculent (E/W)

Daily Says: “Resumed for the new stable last start when on speed and wide over 900m. His recent figures don’t measure up for a race like this and he would need to get back to his best form to warrant his early fixed price of $3.50. Willing to gamble and lay each-way.”

Horse Racing Professionals – www.horseracingprofessionals.com.au

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff  – Strathalbyn – Race 6 #5 Alta Stella

McMurray Says: “Looks well under the odds at the current quote of $2.30. Won its maiden well but had every chance in a questionable field of maidens in slow time. Meets a few reasonably performed mares in Mazurek, Joy Flipper, Captured and Raise A Dream so happy to oppose at the short odds.”

Rick Williams Racing – www.rickwilliamsracing.com

Rick Williams – @rwilliamsracing – Pakenham – Race 7 #4 Makatiti

Williams Says: “Is a nice horse but doesn’t have the figures to match the top two chances in this race. My top selection it’s a shame billy absolutely loves the wet. Anything south of $4.00 Makatiti is under the odds.”

racebk – www.racebk.com

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – Echuca Harness – Race 5 #7 Tarleton Riley

Krahe Says: “Has won two in a row but both of those were leading. Tonight is drawn inside the second around the tight Echuca circuit. Throw in the fact its only mile and there’s a tonne of speed drawn on the front row, he may need some luck!”
