Pro Lays: Wednesday 28th March 2018

Every week on The Hub, professional punters from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Wednesday 28th March below.

Winning Edge Investments –

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff – Warwick Farm Race 2 #6 Invictus Salute

McMurray Says: “Has come up short for its debut and looks under the odds. A few negatives – it’s pedigree mating doesn’t come up over strong, only had a couple of short course trials and meets some useful ones headed by So Elated, Columbia and Bold Arial. Happy to oppose for those reasons.”

Punting Form –

Shane Baker – @PuntingForm – Ipswich Race 1 #1 Te Amo

Baker Says: “First start in Queensland for a new stable. Gets the services of the Edmonds/Lloyd combination, so is likely to stay short in the market. Has an awkward draw and also sees the tight Ipswich track for the first time under race conditions. We think Gollan has a couple of key runners engaged, which can hopefully tip out Te Amo for us here.”

Racing Watch –

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Warwick Farm Race 2 #7 Pure Elation

Walter Says: “A last start close up 2nd to Slipper winner Estijaab certainly now reads extremely well. That was the first time this filly had raced tractably. The setup of that race certainly looks to have flattered her somewhat and she comes up prohibitive odds here from a very awkward draw. A couple of key map influences have been scratched which makes her job a little easier – but still happy to be betting around her at her early price.”

Racing Rant –

Marc Lambourne – @justideal – Warwick Farm Race 3 #8 Icon Of Dubai

Lambourne Says: “Poison odds among a sharp team. Whilst returning winners have a positive expectation, it was the scene of his maiden victory, gunning down a Canterbury debutant winner with suspect form.”

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Ipswich Race 1 #2 Our Netbank

McLeod Says: “Our Netbank has come up short here. She won her trial without Blinkers on but was pushed out to do so. She is meeting a smart one in Te Amo here, happy to take her on at the $2.5.”

racebk –

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – Geelong Harness Race 1 #5 Keayang Alimar

Krahe says: “This mare comes from the very strong Marg Lee stable. She has some very good horses, I’m not sure one of them is this horse. Has had five starts for two placings . Was a $1.70 beaten favourite two starts ago in a very average field and a reasonable third last time at Ballarat. To add to the mix, there is a handy horse drawn a few inside it and two nice ones on the back row. The current quote looks way under the odds.”

Ratings2Win –

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Ipswich Race 8 #2 Ready For Danger

Daily says: “Will be fitter for two runs back this preparation but is yet to produce consistent performances within the range required to win this. Whilst the step up in distance will help, his best runs have been when the tempo has been strong which doesn’t look likely here. He is likely to be at least 4-5 lengths off the lead here and at the current fixed odds of $3.90 is the one that profiles poorly.”

Dickos Mailbag –

Jack Dickens – @dickosmailbag – Sandown Race 2 #2 Let Me Sleep On It

Dickens Says: “Yet to win after three tries at 1000m. Shown glimpses of ability and gets a chance here with a positive switch from Mallyon to Mertens off a somewhat unlucky run last time. Looks priced off Gai Waterhouse/ Adrian Bott factor meaning it’s under the odds at $3.00.”

Winning Edge Investments –

John Lawson – @Johns_Analytics – Strathalbyn Race 3 #6 Downunder Prince

Lawson Says: “Won here four starts back over a mile before going for a break and returning with three below average runs. Steps up from a 1400m run at Oakbank last time to the 2050m here and that just looks like a tough ask. Must be against at the current $4.”

Champion Bets –

Trevor Lawson – @lunchandpunt – Sandown Race 4 #3 Filbert Way

Lawson Says: “Already had six runs in from a spell and is coming slightly back in distance which aren’t positives. Caught wide last start albeit in a slowly run race which seems to be overvalued by the market. Has no stand out figures on the rest of the field. Seems very poor value in early markets.”
