Punting Form –

Shane Baker – @PuntingForm – Doomben – Race 1 #1 Kuttamurra Al

Baker Says: “A lowly maiden race over a 2240m staying trip. The early market has this runner deep in the red, with the credentials of 0 wins from 19 starts. It comes off a run 21 days ago over a similar trip at the Gold Coast where it just plugged away at the finish. Has to be a big question mark over its ability to get the job done as a short priced favourite.”

racebk –

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – The Meadows (Greyhounds)  – Race 3 #1 Johnny Black (Place)

Krahe Says: “Stepping up in distance – all four starts to date have been between 350-400m and three of them at Healesville down the straight. Last start it didn’t handle 400m around one turn at Warragul. Now faces Box 1 here and I suspect he’ll be looking for the middle of the track.”

Ratings2Win –

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Doomben – Race 2 #2 Capital Connection

Daily Says: “Unraced 3yo Denman gelding from the Gollan Yard Taken back in its trial over 840m and whilst the fifth fastest overall time of the day they went hard early which helped not only the overall time but the horse as he saved plenty of ground up the inside when running on. The factors that concern me most are that he was plated and those that had previous race experience from that trial have only recorded average figures, not good enough to feature here. Typically, first starters from this yard have a below average strike rate and lose around -43.8 POT. At current fixed odds of $2.80 I’m willing to gamble against this one.”

Horse Racing Professionals –

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff  – Gawler – Race 3 #1 Aerofy

McMurray Says: “Looks well under the odds at it current odds on quote. Drawn a touch wide and up in trip. Faces a few that can run a bit in Gold Dragoness (pulled up sore 1st up when backed), Military Forces (always runs a solid race), Lucid Kiss and Miss Cuoco. Just can’t have the odds on offer so happy to take on

Queensland Trials –

Chris Nelson – @qldtrials –Doomben – Race 3 #5 Misprint

Nelson Says: “Finished strongly to just fail at the Gold Coast last start but this appears a tougher task. He’s a deadest backmarker who draws wide which suggests he’ll be spotting the main chances a big start. The rail out 10m is another negative and making ground in the straight won’t be easy. Currently second favourite and looks under the odds for mine.”

Racing Watch –

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Warwick Farm – Race 4 #9 Jaunty (Place)

Walter Says: “Waller trained filly quickly to the mile here at her third start. She certainly had her chance last tome and battled on bravely. Now steps up a further 200m and finds a race that looks deeper on paper. Surprised she has come up favourite here back against the older horses. Have to be against her at the early quote.”

Racetrack Ralphy –

Ralph Horowitz – @rtralphy – Sandown – Race 4 #3 Alma’s Rossa

Horowitz Says: “She has ‘city form’ but hasn’t done anything on the clock in this preparation or the one prior despite her form card looking OK. Last start she at Flemington she was $21 for a reason, didn’t show any gate speed. Today with barrier two, gate speed will be an issue buried in the field. Concede there could be improvement fitness wise third up but she just didn’t have any big closing speed in plain races in the summer. Way under the odds as favourite for mine.”

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Doomben – Race 6 #1 Sneaky Glance

McLeod Says: “Went well at Grafton last time but 30 days between runs with a rise in trip is a concern. He can miss the start and may also get back in running, with the rail out those factors are enough to be against him.”

Champion Bets –

Nathan Snow – @snowbet – Warwick Farm – Race 6 #1 Balmain Boy (Place)

Snow Says: “Racing well below its best this prep. Had things to suit last time and did very little. Drawn awkwardly so map looks tricky and finds a race with plenty of chances”

Rick Williams Racing –

Rick Williams – @rwilliamsracing– Sandown – Race 7 #14 Kakanui

Williams Says: “Ran well in this class last time but that was a weaker race than this. I don’t think that gate one suits and have others with much stronger figures.”
