Pro Lays: Wednesday 21st March 2018

Every week on The Hub, professional punters from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Wednesday 21st March below.

Winning Edge Investments – www.winningedgeinvestments.com.au

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff – Sandown Race 4 # 2 Sherlock Holmes

McMurray Says: “Keen to be against the early favourite as the current quote around $2.30 looks poison. This horses best ratings are only fair and meets a few inform horses here. Looks poorly weighted against these with 58.5kg and is none for four first up from a spell. Maybe it’s improved off its last preparation but it will need to so happy to oppose at the skinny odds.”

Punting Form – www.puntingform.com.au

Shane Baker – @PuntingForm – Gosford Race 2 #5 Dinnigan

Baker Says: “Yet to win a race and finds itself deep in the red here. Drops from a 1200m race seven days ago to a 1000m scamper on a wet track today. On the face of it, the 1000m should suit, but it really is a specialist distance and we have some other very lightly raced types engaged here, who may be capable of putting up some resistance. But must to take on Dinnigan, given the very short quote in the early markets..”

Racing Watch – www.racingwatch.com.au

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Gosford Race 3 #3 Gresham

Walter Says: “Limited opportunities to lay something short in the market today at Gosford. This guy had every conceivable hope first up when tracking Sondelon everywhere and just really didn’t look interested in putting the race away. Straight to the mile 2nd up on a genuinely soft track – both queries against him. Awkwardly drawn and happy to be against him today at the shortish early quote.”

Racing Rant – www.racingrant.com

Marc Lambourne – @justideal – Gosford Race 5 #3 Turnberry

Lambourne Says: “Lightly raced 3yo making staying debut. Last start form reference appears hollow and lack of seasoning will count in today’s conditions.”

Macbet- www.macbet.com.au

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Doomben Race 4 #9 Serious Doubts

McLeod Says: “Serious Doubts doesn’t seem to have returned this preparation going on her two runs from a spell. She won’t be too far away in the run but there are a few rating a lot better than her at the moment, so the $2.7 looks short.”

racebk - www.racebk.com

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – Redcliffe Race 2 #7 Writeaboutchelsea

Krahe says: “$1.10 favourite on debut in this region when it led and could only manage a 5m second. Poorly drawn inside the second row and behind a terribly out of form horse, Narissa McMullen will need to get off the fence at some stage and do plenty of work to win. That is tough to do around this circuit over the mile.”

Ratings2Win - www.ratings2win.com.au

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Doomben Race 2 #1 Hirtshals

Daily says: “Comes off a first up win run where the pace was fast but overall figures only moderate. Had the benefit of being in the best part of the track that day and the jockey change to Alannah Fancourt can’t be seen as a positive. At the current fixed odds of $5.50 I would expect her to drift however if she remains around the current price then I’m happy to oppose.”

Dickos Mailbag – dickosmailbag.store

Jack Dickens – @dickosmailbag – Sandown Race 2 #15 Sweet Mischief

Dickens Says: “Looks a competitive race and struggling to see why it’s so short in the market. Will map well back and despite racing at Group level previously she’s yet to do anything of note. Prefer second up at 1600m. .”

Winning Edge Investments – www.winningedgeinvestments.com.au

John Lawson – @Johns_Analytics – Launceston Race 3 #2 Miss Eleanor

Lawson Says: “Comes into this race off a career best run at this track last time out when running her first placing at her eigth start. Has been getting back and plugging home in her races which makes her a risk around this track even in the small field. I’ve got a few rated ahead of her so happy to lay at the current $5.00 price..”

Champion Bets – www.championbets.com.au

Trevor Lawson – @lunchandpunt – Sandown Race 1 #5 Viking Raid

Lawson Says: “Lead all the way in a weak Bendigo maiden that produced only fair figures. Steps up in distance here which is a slight concern. Happy to oppose at current short quote.”
