Every week on The Hub, professional punters from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Wednesday 21st June below.

Racing Watch – www.racingwatch.com.au

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Canterbury – Race 1 #8 Sasso Corbaro

Walter Says: “On debut from the in-form Kris Lee’s yard with Hugh Bowman to ride. I think this fillies chances have been a touch overplayed by the early market. Two solid trials this time in at Wyong and Gosford she certainly looks to have ability. This is however not an easy race to win on debut with multiple talented runners engaged with better ‘setups’. Drawn awkwardly I have to be against her today.”

Racetrack Ralphy – www.racetrackralphy.com.au

Ralph Horowitz – @rtralphy – Bendigo – Race 1 #13 Diamond Grace (Place)

Horowitz Says: “Going for a low risk/ hopefully high reward (small outlay) lay today in Diamond Grace to place at ~ $1.50 looking at the early market. She hit the line OK at Cranbourne over2060m with 18th best last 200m, but only the 56th best last 800m and 51st best last 400m, so all the work was late. Now steps up to 2400m and thus a new pain barrier second up at just her fourth career start taking on a group of rock hard fit, albeit basic opposition who’ve had good distance race grounding. In addition the apprentice Ethan Brown since April 1st has had 18 Victorian rids between $2.00 and $5.00 in the market for 1 win or 6% v 29.1% market expectations. Drawn barrier one and getting back, at best she’ll need to work her way clear of traffic.”

Ratings2Win – www.ratings2win.com.au

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Gold Coast – Race 6 #2 Cosgrove

Daily Says: “Gets to 1800m quickly off one 1215. And 1400m run this preparation. From the wide gate goes back in a race without early speed with the rail out 9m and faces a task. Genuine winning chance but the early fixed odds of $2.40 appears way too short so I’m happy to oppose.”

Macbet- www.macbet.com.au

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Gold Coast – Race 6 #2 Cosgrove

McLeod Says: “Has the bad gate here and shows no speed. He will have to come from the back and round these up somehow so I’m happy to take him on at the $2.60.”

Rick Williams Racing – www.rickwilliamsracing.com

Rick Williams – @rwilliamsracing – Bendigo – Race 5 #3 Gigi Girl

Williams Says: “First two runs this prep have only been fair. Coming off a 52 day break and will likely be midfield on the fence. Hasn’t won since December 2015 and I have others rating better with $4.40-$4.50 the best price early.”

Horse Racing Professionals – www.horseracingprofessionals.com.au

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff  – Balaklava – Race 5 #6 Gold Dragoness

McMurray Says: “Looks very short at its current quote with form in NSW and ACT only fair. Has trialled OK but meets a decent one in He IS Golden who has trialled up nicely for its return. There’s a couple of first starters with good pedigrees in Madame Laureate and Mal Teza. Happy to oppose for those reasons.”

Champion Bets – www.championbets.com.au

Nathan Snow – @snowbet – Canterbury – Race 6 #4 Sharpness (Place)

Snow Says: “Had favours winning a very ordinary race first up. Finds a harder race here with plenty of chances and is drawn awkwardly with a stack of pace inside it.”

racebk – www.racebk.com

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com –Shepparton Harness – Race 7 #9 Black Valley

Krahe Says: “Finally broke through for a victory last but it could have been considered ‘lucky’ after the odds on favourite didn’t score up. The standing start conditions are also a query for this horse as the 11 – 0 – 4 – 2 stats suggest. There are also some standing start horses in the race so I’m happy to take him on today.”

Queensland Trials – www.queenslandtrials.com.au

Chris Nelson – @qldtrials –Gold Coast – Race 8 #2 Lothario

Nelson Says: “Consistent galloper for the O’Dea stable who although ‘officially’ staying in the same grade as his last start win (Class 4) he faces stronger opposition rising a kilo for the win. Lyricist who will improve greatly off the first up narrow defeat coupled with the promising Constantine will make his task a tough one. Happy to oppose today.”
