Pro Lays: Wednesday 14th March 2018

Every week on The Hub, professional punters from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Wednesday 14th March below.

Winning Edge

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff – Warwick Farm Race 3 #6 Sangita

McMurray Says: “Against the early favourite here. Sangita does not have a high rated pedigree cross and that is supported by a couple of runs that have not looked over impressive. Meets a field here with three horses that have high rated pedigree matings in Madam Rouge, Timid and Not A Zin Zan. All these have trialled up nicely for their first up runs today. Happy to be against the favourite for those reasons.”

Punting Form

Shane Baker – @PuntingForm – Doomben Race 3 #4 Crystal Amor

Baker Says: “Is deep into the red in the early markets. Almost certainly based on the perception it was unlucky last start (blocked, in worst going etc) and the fact it is most likely the best of an ordinary bunch. We do not believe that is a good recipe for a pronounced favourite. Will certainly be a heavy track and some lightly raced types may just be capable of some improvement. Happy to take on Crystal Amor.”

Racing Watch –

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Warwick Farm Race 1 #1 Hiemal

Walter Says: “Fitter for the first up solid effort and has had a trial since but think he runs into one very smart horse today and a couple of other promising debutants that will give him a run for his money. Happy to be around him at the early quote.”

Racing Rant –

Marc Lambourne – @justideal – Warwick Farm Race 6 #5 Weather With You

Lambourne Says: “3yo. Kerrin and wide draws will be strongly favoured today. Nonetheless, this Kiwi’s Victorian Spring campaign revealed him to be extremely dour. 1600m a worry.”

Macbet –

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Doomben Race 8 #7 Defective

McLeod Says: “This race is full of chances. The wet is not really a concern for Defective but the distance on the wet track is a problem. The $4 is short enough for mine.”

racebk –

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – Redcliffe Harness Race 7 #4 High Cloud Lass

Krahe says: “Stand start over the short 1780m trip here, going OK this horse but gets 10m with some quick beginners around it. Short in early markets and looks a risk here with an unfashionable driver.”

Ratings2Win –

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Sandown Hillside Race 4 Horse #5 Dancing Tycoon

Daily says: “Lightly raced filly who resumed winning a 3YO Maiden at Moe in substandard time although did run the fast last 400 and 200m sectionals. The issue I have is that she needs to lift considerably to a new peak again which is possible but now steps from 1017m to 1300m so at the current early fixed odds of $5.00 I have to oppose.”

Dickos Mailbag –

Jack Dickens – @dickosmailbag – Sandown Race 7 #11 Oscietra

Dickens Says: “Comes up favourite after running only OK time in a weak on pace dominated bm64 on a Sunday at Ballarat. Her price surely has more to do with Mum (Black Caviar) than anything she’s done to date on the track. She lead & controlled last time which she should find harder to do here, I expect she’s challenged earlier in a much tougher test for her today up in grade.”

Winning Edge Investments –

John Lawson – @Johns_Analytics – Naracoorte Race 4 #2 Sagano

Lawson Says: “Resumes from a spell at a trip he hasn’t performed at and from a wide gate. His last two wins were over 1550m at Manangatang and Bordertown. Looks like he gets back in a race without a heap of speed and happy to be against him here today.”

Champion Bets –

Trevor Lawson – @lunchandpunt – Sandown Hillside Race 8 #8 Vainstream

Lawson Says:  “Unbeaten 3yo colt who has won both starts at Moe. Comes to town for the first time and against the older horses. Looks a competitive race. Other have better profiles for mine. Seems well found in the early market..”
