Pro Lays: Wednesday 11th April 2018

Every week on The Hub, professional punters from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Wednesday 11th April below.

Winning Edge Investments –

Geoff McMurray – @mcmurray_geoff  – Sandown Race 7 #3 Ancient Echoes

McMurray Says: “Going well but meets a significantly harder field here headed by Silverhawk and Street Sheik so happy to oppose at the short quote of $3.40.”

Punting Form –

Shane Baker – @PuntingForm – Ipswich Race 8 #5 Te Amo

Walter Says: “We took this horse on last time it won at an odds-on quote and keen do the same again here. Everything fell into place for it last start and with a bit of luck (for us) it will either go back, be posted wide or be forced to do a lot of work early in the run to press forward from the wide gate. Laying Te Amo again at the odds-on quote and hoping Jeff Lloyd is too busy thinking about retirement to have a good ride.”

Racing Watch –

John Walter – @J_Walter23 – Warwick Farm Race 8 #5 Resin

Walter Says: “Solid enough wins at her last two starts in easier grade. She steps up in grade here and draws to almost certainly work in the run or restrain out of a speed battle. A few handy mares here that can certainly be strong at the end of 1200m and give this short-priced favourite a run for its money. Happy to risk at the early quote.”

Racing Rant –

Marc Lambourne – @justideal – Warwick Farm Race 4 #1 Toga Picta

Lambourne Says: “Has had the “kitchen sink” thrown at him this prep; now Blinkers ON and third up today. “In my heart” (Craig Williams) OFF and KMac (Kerrin McEvoy) ON will again ensure popularity, but lack of acceleration is his worst enemy.”

John McLeod – @macbetjohn – Ipswich Race 6 #5 Guissola

McLeod Says: “Guissola is up in distance here which is a big concern. This race is not strong so plenty of chances here. The $4.00 for Guissola looks unders to me, likely to get a stitch the closing stages of the race.”

racebk –

Ben Krahe – @racebk_com – Geelong Race 4 #2 Argentine Tango

Krahe says: “Going in with a risk here wanting to lay anything Alford is driving, let alone a trotter off the front mark. Stepped beautifully last week from the 20m to lead early but was run down by (an in form) Chrisken Kiosk. I have some doubt on the form from that race however as the winner galloped in the run and still managed to win. The rest of them (besides Jeter who is in tonight’s race) had their chance, so the form lines may be suspect. This horse can be risky at the start, or in the run as well. There are also a few handy enough horses that will be chasing it if it happens to lead.”

Ratings2Win –

Paul Daily – @PaulD01 – Sandown Race 7 #3 Ancient Echoes

Daily says: “In great form winning both runs back this preparation by decent margins against easier opposition to what he faces here. Whilst he is an improving type and can win, he needs to peak again against some other better credentialed runners to justify the current market price of $3.40.”

Dickos Mailbag –

Jack Dickens – @dickosmailbag – Sandown Race 3 #3 Rodin’s Doll

Dickens Says: “I’m becoming increasingly suspicious of the form coming from Pakenham and almost equally the form of Henry Dwyer. I think $2.00 is way too short with nothing impressive about this runner’s performance when looking at the clock last time. There are four genuine hopes here.”

Winning Edge Investments –

John Lawson – @Johns_Analytics – Sandown Race 6 #6 The Mood I’m In

Lawson Says: “Has won both starts from a spell and 3 of 5 career runs. This is a much harder race than the last two, it looks to map awkwardly here, and I’ve got a few rated ahead of it so happy to lay at the current $6.”

Champion Bets –

Trevor Lawson – @lunchandpunt – Sandown Race 6 #4 Princeton Spirit

Lawson Says: “Bit plain when resuming over this trip at Moonee Valley. Will be improved with the run, but market seems to have overpriced its possible improvement for mine. Drawn a touch awkwardly also. Happy to oppose at its current short quote.”
