Brisbane v Sydney Roosters

Sunday 30th September 1:35pm ANZ Stadium

Brisbane look destined to land the inaugural NRL Women’s Premiership after a stellar undefeated season where they set themselves above the rest of the competition. The Broncos went undefeated with all wins coming by double digit margins. They posted the best attack and best defence. Their average margin of victory was a whopping 19.33 points per game.

The Sydney Roosters went 1-2 throughout the regular season and only made it to the decider on a last match win over the Dragons. Led by Chelsea Baker and Ali Brigginshaw, the Broncos have too much talent.

Canterbury v Redcliffe

Sunday 30th September 3:40pm ANZ Stadium

The NRL State Championship takes place for the fifth time and it is NSW Cup champions Canterbury who go in sizable favourites over Queensland Cup premiers Redcliffe. Lining the two competitions up is difficult but there are two notable numbers in this one. Firstly, since the State Championship started to get taken seriously south of the Tweed, NSW teams have won by margins of 42 and 32.

The Bulldogs also have a major edge in first grade talent and experience with nine first graders to Redcliffe’s eight, a 9-3 edge in players who played NRL this year and 356 NRL games experience compared to 82. The NSW Cup is stronger and the Bulldogs have a team that has too much talent.

Betting Strategy

 BACK – Canterbury -4.5
