NRL Insights – Round 8 2017 (Anzac Day Games)

Sydney Roosters v St George Illawarra Dragons

Tuesday April 25, 4:00pm AEST – Allianz Arena

Despite both teams having strong runs of form over the last decade, the Dragons have certainly had the best of the Roosters on Anzac Day with nine wins in the last 11 April 25 encounters including the last two. St George Illawarra sit atop the ladder having recorded the best attack and third best defence so far in 2017. The Dragons have covered six of their last nine as an underdog and certainly look the value in this one.

Melbourne Storm v New Zealand Warriors

Tuesday April 25, 7:00pm AEST – AAMI Park

Despite the Warriors traditionally being the bogey side for the Melbourne Storm, they look up against it against the premiership favourites on the second leg of back-to-back road games. The Storm have claimed three on the trot against the Warriors while they have also won four of their last five in Melbourne with all those victories coming by a margin of 10 or more. New Zealand have covered the spread in just 4 of their last 11 games away from Mt Smart while they are just 3-9 against the line after scoring 10 points or fewer in their previous outing. All angles point to a big Storm win in this one.
