Brisbane Broncos v Sydney Roosters

Thursday April 6, 7:50pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium

Brisbane could be undefeated this year but some terrible form in close games has them with a lowly 2-3 record. They are a strong bet when favoured at Suncorp though covering 22 of their last 36 at the venue, while they are excellent off a big defensive display, covering seven of their last eight as a home favourite after conceding 10 points or fewer. Brisbane have been playing the football to win … they just need a change of luck.

Gold Coast Titans v Canberra Raiders

Saturday April 8, 5:30pm AEST – CBUS Super Stadium

The Titans have a very good record against the Raiders, winning seven of their last 11. Gold Coast have been hit hard by injuries but have covered 18 of their last 30 as a home underdog including 10 of their last 15 as a home outsider after scoring 22 points. Coming off a poor defensive display where they have allowed 25 or more they have covered the start in 75% of matches. The Titans are well over the odds in this one.

North Queensland Cowboys v Wests Tigers

Saturday April 8, 7:30pm AEST – 1300Smiles Stadium

The Wests Tigers are huge outsiders here but off four embarrassing losses can bounce back in their first game under coach Ivan Cleary. The Cowboys have lost hooker Jake Granville and fullback Lachlan Coote is in significant doubt. The Tigers have covered seven of their last eight games played at night while they have won eight of their last 12 against North Queensland straight out.
