Canterbury Bulldogs v Brisbane Broncos

Thursday March 30, 8:05pm – ANZ Stadium

Canterbury have historically been very competitive against Brisbane and in a strong bounce-back situation our model thinks they are in for a strong showing despite losing half Moses Mbye to suspension. Teams off a loss of 30 or more in the first two months of the season have covered 41 of 60 dating back to 2008 while the Broncos are a below average team when travelling going just 3-5 against the line in their last eight interstate.

North Queensland Cowboys v South Sydney Rabbitohs

Friday March 31, 8:05pm – 1300Smiles Stadium

South Sydney shot themselves badly in the foot last week but will be chastened by that defeat to rivals the Sydney Roosters and can bounce back against North Queensland. The Cowboys’ preparation has been severely impacted by Cyclone Debbie and Souths have been strong interstate travellers covering six of their last eight. The line here is very big and the Cowboys really haven’t shown a lot this year.

New Zealand Warriors v Gold Coast Titans

Sunday April 2, 2:00pm – Mt Smart Stadium

It is astonishing that New Zealand go in favourites in this match. They have just a single win over last year’s wooden spooners to their name and they are the only team without a cover through four rounds this year. The Titans have covered 29 of their last 43 matches when travelling interstate and are particularly strong travelling when playing day matches, covering 14 of 19. The Titans have again been underestimated.
