NRL Insights – Round 19 2017

New Zealand Warriors v Penrith Panthers

Friday July 14, 6:00pm AEST  – Mt Smart Stadium

Penrith have owned New Zealand in recent years with seven wins in their last nine matchups. The Panthers have scored 20-plus in seven of those matches. The last four Penrith wins have all been by in excess of eight points. New Zealand have covered just three of their last 11 games at Mt Smart as a favourite. The season is really on the line for both teams and in pressure situations betting against the Warriors is wise.

Canberra Raiders v St George Illawarra Dragons

Friday July 14, 8:00pm AEST  – GIO Stadium

The model thinks the Raiders are the best of the week and a huge overlay. Canberra have traditionally dominated St George Illawarra with 17 wins in their last 22 encounters. The Saints have been in very poor form of late with just three wins in their last nine with their attack the biggest concern as the Dragons have been held to 10 or fewer in their last three games against non-Newcastle opponents. Canberra are much better than they have been playing.

Gold Coast Titans v Cronulla Sharks

Saturday July 15, 7:30pm AEST – CBUS Super Stadium

Cronulla have been perfect away from home this year with seven wins from seven games away from Shark Park. The best defensive team in the premiership, they match-up well against a Titans team that relies on their attack so heavily. The Sharks have covered six of their last eight road games and have covered three of their last four road games as a favourite of less than a try. The Titans have covered just three of their last 10 home games.
